Luis had made big plans that evening, hoping Jackson would join in. An extravagant dinner before they saw a production of Shakespeare’s Hamlet that night. He cancelled that all at the last minute. He was still desperately trying to win Jackson over, but he remembered that Jack was more than content with a night in. Luis at least wanted to be Jack’s friend, if nothing else. He stood outside of Jack’s apartment, a bag full of his favorite snacks and movies in hand. Luis, as usual, was significantly overdressed for the occasion. It was his fault for cancelling their plans at the last minute. He’d explain later. Luis knocked on the door, completely out of place from the other tenants in the building. Once Jack opened the door, Luis smiled a little awkwardly. “Hey,” he greeted, lifting the bag of snacks and movies. “Thought we could just have a quiet night in. You used to like that,” Luis pointed out, hoping the door wouldn’t slam in his face for a change.
"This is stupid," Luis muttered to himself, letting himself into Jackson's apartment building. Although Luis wasn't a fan of elevators (or small spaces in general), Jackson's apartment was on the sixth floor, and taking six flights of stairs wasn't something that Luis wished to partake in, even if he was in decent shape. Luis pushed the "up" button an obnoxious amount of times. He probably should've tried calling or something first, but he also knew that Jackson wouldn't answer. And, if he did, he'd hang up right after telling him to fuck off. Jack's words the other night stung, but Luis had talked himself into believing that he hadn't actually meant all of that. He was just... upset. And rightfully so.
The elevator dinged once, and the doors opened. The ride up made him nervous for a variety of different reasons. He didn't know what to expect with Jack anymore, but he firmly believed that the man he loved was still there. The doors parted once more, and Luis was surprised to spot Jackson so quickly. "Jack..." Luis began, unable to hold back a small smile. "I was coming to see you. I- we need to talk. I have to say something. Well, a lot of things. If you’ll let me."

The Thunder God couldn't help but curl his lips into a smile at the familiar face. Even if Jax had given up his career with Special Forces and turned away from Raiden's guidance, he still considered him a powerful ally.
"Jackson Briggs, it is a pleasure to see you once again."

“So I see I was right.” Nessa leaned against the doorframe to the Gryffindor boys’ dorm room. “You’ve clearly made a speedy recovery yet you didn’t show up in class.. Kind of hard to do partner work when your partner is a no show.”
