PORT VALE FASHION; 1/2 {{ on the land }}

in the sea, ridley was not a siren of any particular ranking; she was given little responsibility & asked for even less than that, so she didn’t get the opportunity to dress as fabulously in the water as she has been on land. she has taken quick to social media, and has fallen into a bit of a clash between styles; shades of wine & smoke, rhinestones and spikes. still not used to the layers that clothes provide, ridley tends to wear as little as possible, keeping her limbs free, and her wardrobe consists of several shoplifted crop tops, slashed skinny jeans, and loose cardigans with embellishments.

though he has been on land permanently (and in port vale) for a decade and a half, fashion has never been something isi has given second thought towards. as long as his clothes are clean and functional, he’s a happy camper; usually will rotate between the same limited choice of shirt & trousers, washing x2 a week. he tends to stick with muted shades, darker colors, and pale blue or a forest green are the only splashes of color to his wardrobe. what he lacks in style, he makes up for in living art; much of his body is covered in tattoos, extending across his torso and down his arms, over his knuckles and ankles, and even lining his back with a large, sprawling octopus. plaid flannels, leather, loose fitting v-necks, and trusty dark-wash denim are the major components of his closet.

HOW DO YOU NEED TO BE LOVED?

Casually, the same way you love to breathe...

You want someone who will see your favorite flower and will give it to you, without even thinking about it. You want someone who will remember all the little details about you, the things so seemingly unimportant but that matter more than you thought they did. You want someone who will still be there, thirty years down the line, holding your hand while the two of you do two separate things. You want the intimacy of being known by someone who makes you feel safe. You don't want expensive dinners or grand proposals. You want someone who will love you consistently.

[ 💸 ] if your muse had no shortage of money, what would they buy?

Literally anything and everything. If Ridley had unlimited money, she would turn into a bonafide shopaholic. She had very little to her own name in the sea and always coveted those with more; a jealous little siren, and with sticky fingers, at that. She would buy expensive clothes, a beautiful oceanfront home, tickets to any and every event; books, though her reading level is still very low; gifts for friends... the list goes on and on, and her paychecks from the salon are quickly spent the same day she receives them.

[ 😍 ] does your muse believe in true love? why or why not?

I think Ridley wants to believe in love; she knows she has loved, but wonders if love has ever been given truly to her. She does believe that love is a fickle thing, quickly given but just as quick to be taken, and that she does not like about it. In reality, she has little experience with true love, but has seen it in media and even within the oceans. A dreamy look comes over her eyes when she sees happy couples; but somehow, Ridley doesn't believe it exists for her. Others, yes, but she has accepted that there will never be a place in someone's life to allow her in like that.
