Copper-tinged fluid flows from the gash as his tongue darts out, splaying over the divide in his lower lip. Getting hit wasn’t his intention, but with each mission comes unpredictability. While Agent Marshall is known for his composure and calm exterior in the field, it doesn't take much to push him over the edge. So, with a prideful smile, and bloody knuckles Agent Marshall navigates through the bunker, his destination: medical. Whether or not he arrives at his destination depends on the agent that stands in his path. Bright eyes lower to the ground in an attempt to conceal the damage done to his face but as a big man, he was hard to ignore.

I don’t talk too much about Izuku as a pro hero because the main focus of this AU is his journey getting there BUT it’s extremely important to me that everyone knows that, while he spends years gathering support (from people he knew through UA, from retired heroes, from agencies he interned at and friends interned at) and advocating for small reforms in the school systems; 

the moment Izuku decides to really lay into the system, to really tear into every aspect of how awful it is, to explain in detail why and how they need to dismantly and re-do Everything; is the night he becomes the number one ranking hero.

like this entire time he’s helping this agency with many other heroes where it’s an equal and democratic system and no one person is in charge and there isn’t rewards based on how flashy and popular the heroes are (basically a model of how he feels the Whole Pro Hero Profession should be) and using his influence to gain the support of both his colleagues and the general public WHILE also;

playing the system that exists, exploiting every loophole and flaw that exists to climb the ladder to the top. Blood sweat and tears; dedicating to becoming number one in rank. It doesn’t happen by accident; it’s his goal.

and WHY? so that he can take that stage where everyone is there, all the top heroes, all the people in their homes, all the officials, everyone watching and expecting him to give the usual speech about hope or possibly something cocky about being the best as the top heroes usually do. And he just

Fucking Goes Into It. He’s been working on what he wants to say for years. How the system prizes those with fancy, flashy, powerful quirks, how that pushes onto society. How it leads to and encourages discrimination. How institutions like UA are exposing kids to trauma and not addressing it properly. How the way heroes are rewarded, the way they earn their living, not only invites conflict but necessitates it. How this isn’t the way heroes are meant to act but it’s how they have to just to survive.

The whole thing lasts ten, maybe fifteen minutes. And, within the next year, there’s no more ranking system.

For plot reasons Izuku’s encounter with Shigaraki in the mall pre training camp is pretty much the same as in canon. But realistically? Izuku always has a myriad of hidden weapons on his person at all times including fucking Mace which he keeps in his pocket for easy access.

So all I can think about is Shigaraki laying one (1) finger on Izuku and as a knee-jerk reaction Izuku sprays him directly in the eyes with Fucking Mace

And at first Izuku’s like “oh I’m so sorry you surprised me” and then he realizes this is the same fucker who tried to kill him at the USJ and he fucking Tases him (because he carries a fucking Stun Gun)

Shigaraki’s writhing on the floor like “you shitty brat this fucking hurts”
