Fools And The Capricious
x-mugiwara
Moving the short glass to chilled lips, the drifter contemplated his next move; he knew the marines - his ex comrades - would be keeping an eye on his dealings nevermind how harmless they may be… after all… not just anyone comes out of the marines with such a high amount of internal information.
Ah, where did all this start?
From the beginning, Kuzan had known that the marines weren’t all just and wonderful; they’re not heroes nor are they peacekeepers despite what seems to be the general consensus of the civilians. Rather, they were just enforcers of the current rule-makers… and yet despite all this, the dusky ice-user joined and rose through the ranks. What pushed him to this point?
Before delving further into his inner thoughts, a streak of red, blue and yellow crossed his peripheral vision… and made the ex-marine look up.
“Mugiwara…?”
Ah… The strawhat pirates.
To think….things seemed to change drastically, only from the moment that Monkey D. Luffy began to make his name on the Grand line. He was no small criminal - not at all. If Kuzan were still a marine… perhaps he would have stood up and challenged the lad.
But he was not.
So he just leant on the palm of his hand, watching the boy… waiting to see if he had heard him call out his name - though he had not intended to beckon it out loud.
