❝You find this place as creepy as I do, right?❞

“I don’t know…how creepy do you find it? On a scale from garage made haunted house to abject terror where are you? Because I’m really, really, reeee-allly creeping up on the terror part. We should go,” she suggested, near pleaded really. “I can’t do the,” she waved her hand about like a television magician, “thing at will. I need at least two days of prep work. It’ll still be here then!” She tugged at Pasha’s arm.

18. What kind of home would they want to live in? Where would they place this abode?

She loves the old Acadian style homes. She’s big on things feeling comfy and cozy, but also expensive. Her parents’ home is a little too much like an antique shop for her liking, but she likes some of the pieces in there and would like to incorporate them into her own home [her mom has a buffet that her grandmother gave her and Eva has her eye on it should Collette ever want to give it up]. As for where she would put it? Somewhere with an available water source. She likes Baton Rouge just fine, but her mom and dad’s place don’t have any accessible and private water bodies besides the pool and that’s a little frustrating. 

So, if she had to choose? Probably out in Covington where her extended family is [she wants to be close to them], maybe a little past Fontainbleau Park. Besides, they are actually doing some cool work with Timber Rattlesnakes across the bridge in New Orleans East and she’d like to get in on that.

19. Would your character be the kind to get into fights? Would they be a good fighter or cave in rather easily?

No, she’s definitely not one to start fights physically. Verbal fights, maybe – depending on the topic. She really has to be passionate about it for her to pull out a full on fight. Beware if she does, because then she’s not stopping until she wins. 

I think, given her natural athleticism, if she learned to fight she’d be good at it. I think she’d especially excel at some sort of MMA.  But, right now? The only thing she’d have going is that she’s naturally athletic and her dad did teach her how to throw a punch. But, she’d rather not. It would have to be extreme circumstances for her to get into a physical fight.

20. Does your character like animals? What are some of their favorite animals? Would they want pets? What about mythological creatures?

She loves animals. She, obviously, has a soft spot for reptiles in general and her favorite animal will always be alligators. But, she loves all animals, even the ones that make her a little nervous [like giraffes or primates]. She has pets! She has a Speckled Kingsnake, a cat. Her family had a dog named Shelby, but it recently passed and so they are taking their time in adding another to the family because it hit them all really hard. 

As for mythical creatures, she’d probably cry if she met a dragon.

44. Is there a particular event that would emotionally devastate your character?

Anything happening to her family. They are very close knit and she talks to her mom and dad on the daily, and even speaks to her extended family regularly.  She can’t remember the last time she’s gone more than a month without speaking to anyone in her family. So, she’d be extremely devastated if anything happened to them.

you know that scene in harry potter where the basilisk is blinded and tom riddle is all "it can still hear you!" like doesn't that bother you? like it's a snake, so wouldn't it just rely on it's sense of smell instead? like when harry tricks it with the rock i'm just like but he can definitely smell a mammal right in front of him?

“There are a lot of reptilian inaccuracies in that series. In the very fist book they gave a Burmese Python eyelids. Snakes don’t have eyelids. They have retinal scales. She could have done a glass or legless lizard, but I guess they are not as impressive as a Burm in size. 

That’s why I quit reading them after that chapter.”

 What she’s saying is it doesn’t bother her, or didn’t until now, because she quit the second they fell behind. Now, she’s going to go write a strongly worded letter to the author.

“ did you ever think of having children ? "

“What? You mean, now? Wow. No, I have a lot I want to do before I settle down and start a family. In the future? Sure, I definitely want kids of my own. Picket fence and all. But, right now, I have things to accomplish. 

Of course, if the person who’s going to share that picket fence, apple pie life with me comes along, well...I wouldn’t say know to an adventure partner ever.

Do you always ask people these questions when you just meet them? Just curious.”

“ i do not need to prove myself to you. “

“No, you don’t. But still...it’s kinda hard to believe that actual angel of death is standing right in front of me. Not that I don’t believe in angels,” she knew better than to throw other supernatural beings into the realm of impossibility. After all, she was supposed to be impossible herself. 

“I just think that if you go around claiming a position that big you should be able to provide identification of a sort. After all, I can’t walk into the White House and just say I’m the president and everyone believe me. That’s not how it works.”

“Oh, roses!” 

Obvious as the statement was, she couldn’t help it from falling out of her mouth in excitement. Evangeline hadn’t received flowers since Valentine’s day -- her Dad always made sure to get half a dozen for her and a dozen for her mother. He was more than a bit of a romantic, and loved to spoil ‘his girls.’ 

She didn’t even think of looking for a vase, instead, grabbing the green water bottle out of her bag and and unscrewing the top, sticking the roses in it, still grinning.

“They’re so pretty, oh my god. Thank you so much!”
