❅ - keeping warm/keeping cool techniques

Isabel would much rather be cold than warm. With cold, she can bundle up, blankets on blankets on blankets, but during the warmer months...

Complaining seems to be the main technique, not that it helps any. After annoying everyone in the vicinity with her whining she'll either find a fan of some sort, or guzzle down any and all water she can find to try and cool down.

Yeah, she doesn't get along with heat.

☁ - ideal holiday

Thanksgiving. Or any holiday with lots of food being given out. Christmas is a close second, with the presents and holiday cheer. She actually really loves holidays, seeing everyone generally more cheerful and relaxed.

❦ - lips

Her lips aren't very big. They're small, like the rest of her, and kind of thin to boot. But because of this, she doesn't have many problems with chapping.

When she smiles, she has dimples on both sides of her cheeks. They aren't very pronounced, and only visible when she really grins, but they're definitely there.

☤ - self care/first aid habits

Isabel knows the basics. She knows how to keep a wound from getting infected, how to stop bleeding, and how to (albeit sloppily) bandage something up. First aid really isn't her forte though-- she's more of an offense player than support.

She's fairly rough, too, and isn't afraid to get a little banged up. Little scrapes, cuts, and bruises can be found on her regularly, and unless they're huge, she doesn't worry too much about them.

♥ - Love headcanon

Love is not a priority.

Food is a priority. Shelter, finding clean water, even finding ways to properly bathe is a priority. Surviving is a priority.

Isabel can honestly say that she doesn't think of love very often. Not in the romantic sense, anyway. She has no experience with it, and it's rare to even encounter it in the underground. She's certain she has memories of being a little girl, dreaming about a princess-like white dress and a perfect wedding, but they're blurry at best and those days are behind her now anyway.

-- Yet,

on the odd days that it does cross her mind, she doesn't even know where to take the train of thought. Getting married is a laughable thought, and it's not like there's too many ideal date places around.

She doesn't know whether she'd be a good girlfriend or not, and from what she knows love seems messy, a good way to tangle and complicate things.

Love is not a priority, so until it is she won't worry about it.

☮ - Friendship headcanon

Isabel doesn't open up easy. She's distrusting, something bred into her after so long in the under ground. You let your guard down, your pigtails could get chopped off. (Or even worse.)

But despite being so standoffish and cagey at first, she isn't that hard to crack open if you don't mind spending a little bit of time (and possibly money, to buy snacks.) She's loyal through and through, down to her very core, and her nature leads her to help out those in trouble.

So long as you don't mind her raiding your food rations sometimes, Isabel is a great friend to have around.

♒ - Family headcanon

Her pre-underground family wasn't that notable, except for maybe her mom. She was always too energetic, too loud, too curious for her father to be able to put up with for extended periods of time. He was mostly absent from her life.

Her post underground family--Farlan and Levi-- she considers much closer to how a real family should act. They look out for each other, care for each other, and even if they bicker they'd always be there for each other in a time of need.

That's a true family. One she'd even give her life for.

♠ - Painful headcanon

She has nightmares a lot. It's not uncommon, for someone in her position, but particularly damaging to her mental health because she tends to bottle up fear and mask it with over-confidence.

She wakes up, shaking and shivering with tears in her eyes often.

When she was young, and her mother was still alive, she used to tie Isabel's hair back into pigtails because she refused to brush it and often wouldn't let anyone touch it.

After her mom died, she continued this out of memory and habit.
