Another assignment, another long mission back towards a road that she had thought she could stumble off of. But every time she rattle someone was there to pick up the pieces, fix her up and send her right back out. Even memories no longer mattered. Even sadness and emotions didn't matter. All that mattered was the mission and how many more specials she could find out there and bring back for more genetic testing and more formula samples and more experiments.
She usually worked alone however. She usually went out on her own and got things done. But this time they told her to take Peter with her- this time they said she couldn't do it alone because these ones were heavy hitters. As if 91 couldn't deal with heavy hitters. They would barely be able to get the ball out of the park.
But she supposed she could follow orders, of course she could.
Lifting herself onto the stool beside his she poured herself a glass of whatever he was drinking and leaned towards him, smile playing there on her lips as she waited for his attention to shift towards her.
She wondered what this was like- working like a tool under your own father. She wondered what having a father would even be like.
"So you're the big guy they're tossing me up with then, huh? Guess I must be doing something right to be able to work with the bosses son."
