When other Overlords started distancing themselves from the Vees after the 'Might of Lilith' incident, Alandra drew herself closer to them. Mainly on the expedience that they'd be desperate to do damage control on their image and that a desperate client is one willing to pay whatever you ask~

APPEARANCE: Standing at 5'11, Alandra is lithe of figure with dark carapace-like skin with white mottled patches from the neck down. She has six limbs, two legs and an upper and lower set of arms and a pair of clear wings that emit a high pitched buzz when vibrated at speed. Her 'breasts' are two sacs used to store blood for familiar creation.
POWERS: Besides allowing her to fly, Alandra's wings are capable of vibrating at a high enough frequency to induce a state of suggestibility in others. In her monstrous form she can also use the blood she's collected to generate mosquito-like semi-sentient minions and familiars to gather more blood and 'clients' for her.
BIO: A lawyer in the late 80s, Alandra was every inch the 'bloodsucker' that gave other lawyers a bad name. Happy to backstab, politic and kick others off the ladder to the top, Alandra rose to the top of her firm on the ruined careers of others and the money of her clients by the time she hit her thirties. Her actions would eventually come to bite her when a colleague from whom she stole a lucrative case from pushed her out the window of her office in a fit of rage.
Waking up in Hell, she found herself yet another soul damned to burn in the pit for all eternity. Not content with this lot, Alandra came to find that the skills that served her well in her mortal career would continue to do so. Leveraging the desperation of others to persuade them to offer their souls to her, she quickly grew her power and strength until she found herself invited into the ranks of the Overlords.
Now as comfortable as a damned soul can be, Alandra uses her powers and position along with a demi-legion of mosquito familiars and minions to 'persuade' even more desperate sinners into becoming her clients in exchange for their souls and a small 'donation' of their blood.

Personality: Tries to be balanced, calm and clear-headed, though can be nervous and scatter brained under stress. Baddeleyite is often seen as calm and polite to a fault, taking many insults in stride and seeking to extend a friendly hand to many who cross her path. Due to her ingrained nature as an intermediary she will often try to insert herself in any conflict to try and end it peacefully and avoid conflict. A deeply faithful Gem, Baddeleyite prays to the Mother of Moons (The Moon Goddess) almost every day, though part of her feels a niggling doubt as to whether or not she even hears her anymore.

Bio: Born on Kindergarten colony 38-K-Tau, Baddeleyite, like all of her Gem Type was made to be an advisor and intermediary for Homeworld’s many bureacratic institutions. As such she was assigned to act as a diplomatic go-between for the Sisterhood of the Glowing Moon, one of Gemkind’s few remaining old religions. During her time with the Sisterhood, she ‘went native’ as it were and began to take up not only their religion and customs but also managed to end up as Tear Mother Blue Jade’s protege. During this time she learned not only some of the Sisterhood’s famed healing arts but also how to focus and utilize her previously dormant psychic abilities.
She remained with the Sisterhood until the start of the Earth Rebellion, forced to flee after their leader, Blue Jade, was arrested on the charges of giving aid to the Rebellion. Forced to join up with the Rebels to keep themselves safe, the Sisterhood began to insinuate themselves into their structure as healers, battle psychics and chaplains to any who wished to hear their sermons. This continued on until the fateful day of Homeworld’s retreat and the mass corruption of the Rebel forces by the Diamonds, leaving Baddeleyite herself as one of the few left on planet untouched. Now she resides in an abandoned temple hidden in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest, occassionaly coming down to offer aid and help to any who need her.
Weapons: Baddeleyite’s fighting style utilizes both her psychic abilities and a series of sharpened throwing disks forged for her during the Rebellion for both offense and defense.
Offensively, Baddel will either use her telekinesis to strike her enemies from afar or hurl her orbiting throwing disks at them. At close quarters, she will attempt to focus her telekinetic force at a point of impact to offer an extra punch to her blows.
Defensively, Baddeleyite encases herself or others in a shield like aura of telekinetic energy to soften all but the most punishing blows. The downside to such a tactic however is that a sufficiently strong enough blow to shatter her shield can leave her weakened and dazed, vulnerable to enemy attack.

what does your muse smell like?
Maria uses Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Over Red Eau de Parfum as her perfume, and she does pop some on in the morning before she leaves. She uses cocoa butter on her skin and she shampoos/conditions with apple or coconut scented stuff. By the end of the day though, depending where she's been working, there's a mix of perfume, the sort of musty robust smell of old books and pages and tea or coffee. It sort of lingers in her hair especially.
what do your muse’s hands feel like?
Soft, even her scars are soft. She moisturizes them a few times a day, often after washing them. Sometimes moisturizing them is also a soothing thing.
what does your muse usually eat in a day?
Breakfast is often toast or cereal, if it's toast it's buttered often with strawberry jam. If it's cereal it's granola. Maria rarely has a fry up or anything massively heavy but she will treat herself to eggs in the morning sometimes. Lunch it often depends, it depends if she remembers, if she's not caught up in her work and it depends if she's at work or at home and whether she has company. If she's at work and remembers it's often a sandwich from a local deli. If she's at home it depends what's in the fridge and what she feels like, sometimes she might just have a pastry or cake. Dinner it also depends Maria is a big fan of Italian and it's her go to comfort food over anything else, so in the evening it usually is something Italian themed or based. She's a big fan of Southern European Cuisine in general to be honest. However she also loves fish and chips from a good British chippy.
does your muse have a good singing voice?
She does! Maria has quite an old fashioned voice, she likes to sing a lot of old things and show tunes and her voice sounds a bit Vera Lynn and a bit like some of the older disney princess singing voices.
does your muse have any bad habits or nervous tics?
Maria tends to babble when she's nervous, she over explains, she just rambles on until someone stops her. She's always done this since she was a kid. Two things that came after everything that happened to her, was flexing her hand, flexing it into a fist when she's anxious and there's another one where she moves her thumb around her first finger repeatedly.
what does your muse usually look like/wear?
Dresses, Maria's always been a girl big on dresses, she's always loved them and she wears them mostly on a daily bases. At home she wears dresses too, it might just be a different type. She tends to dress in seasons though and winter/autumn is mostly jeans and big jumpers or shirts and big jumpers at home. Summer it's dresses and very occasionally shorts.
is your muse affectionate? how much? how so?
Very very much so, Maria comes from a long line of very affectionate people and once she knows you/is friends with you she can be very tactile (where allowed), even if the person isn't the sort who likes being tactile, Maria will show her affection in other ways, remembering things, buying things, doing lots of little things for others. Maria cares very deeply about people, about their well being and about their happiness and she does the best she can to help people.
what position does your muse sleep in?
On her own she sleeps facing the door, often with her arm around a pillow or blanket and her legs sort of splayed out a bit. There's usually a book either somewhere on the bed or it's dropped on the floor. If she's with someone cuddling probably, whether she's the big spoon or little spoon it doesn't matter.
could you hear your muse in the hallway from another room?
Not really, maybe music, singing, laughing but not anger or anything. Maria is quite quiet when she's angry, it feels dangerous and scary when Maria's angry with you or disappointed. There's this look she gets on her face that is terrifying.
