So, I may or may not have mentioned that Kal. might have mild Disney Princess powers, i.e. a higher-than-normal capacity for getting random-ass animals to trust and/or listen to him. this is very useful when you want to sacrifice them to some dread entity or other and often stems from having some aptitude for mind control (Meladry, for example, is perhaps better at it).

This also generally just applies to things which are prey animals in some capacity, either bc his soul most closely resembles that of a sheep, bc he’s more willing to entertain conversation with them, or both. Also moreso to things which are less intelligent.

For example, dogs don’t like him, which is, according to different schools of thought, either because he’s Evil, because he’s using similar subconscious magic to project his own fear and disgust, or because they’re quite capable of noticing his attitude without any psychic powers, thanks (and also he smells weird). Cats are more dignified and usually smaller, but still not really a favourite. Snakes are usually chill.

Lachlan -

A strict man and his stern wife made up his parents but s the second son of his family, Lachlan had always felt slightly freer from the pressures his father placed on their household.  he had always been happy to hide in his brother Campbell’s shadow where his own light was easily went unnoticed. Early life was regimented and it wasn’t until he started Hogwarts that his eyes were opened to just how wrong his father’s views were.

Sorted into Gryffindor, he had little trouble summoning the courage to face off against his father when they came head to head over his views and on more than one occasion he came close to being disowned, only for his mother to talk his father down. Intent on becoming everything that his father was not, Lachlan pursued a career in healing, much to his family’s displeasure when they found out but he wasn’t one to be cowed by it- instead it only served to push him on further in life.

A large part of him had been almost intent on marrying outside of the circles that he was expected to appear in (still attending only out of love for his mother and nothing else) except those plans fell apart when he met Elina and he was quickly head over heels with the woman before they’d even confessed their common ground of dislike for their fathers. Lachlan beat his brother to getting married and starting a family, putting it down to Campbell’s high standards. But his brother soon surprised everyone in turning out to be the true black sheep when he eloped with a muggle woman to live somewhere on the continent, forcing Lachlan to reluctantly take up the mantle of heir.

The relationship with his father was never patched up, feud lasting until his death but slowly he and his mother mended things and the Catchloves lived in relative peace with him determined to make his children kind and free them from the expectations that had made him so unhappy. Since his son’s death he can be found working as much overtime in St Mungo’s as possible.

Elina

Growing up wasn’t as easy as it should have been for Elina Ivarsson as it perhaps should have been. Despite her family being affluent and her never truly wanting for anything material, her father was a hard man full of traditions that were fast becoming outdated. It made little difference that her mother was a warm woman when the shadow of her father’s wrath was ever present over their family.

When it became time for her to go to school, Elina had pleaded and begged to be sent to Beauxbatons but her requests fell upon her father’s deaf ears when he found it an insult to himself and the family name that she would dare want to go somewhere other than Durmstrang. She reluctantly, Elina went and to her surprise she enjoyed the schol far more than she thought she would- even if she slowly began to disagree with the school’s admittence policy more and more.

Elina and her mother were freed from her father when he died shortly before her thirteenth birthday and from that moment on their home was a warm place filled with the smell of baking that her mother had never been able to indulge in before.

Shortly after finishing school, Elina took a trip to Britain to see some old family friends and it was there that she met Lachlan Catchlove and the two found they had much more in common than bad memories of their fathers. It didn’t take long from him to propose and she accepted without hesitation and happily moved to his country that she’d grown so fond of.

For many years, she was happy. Doing her best to raise her children with the knowledge that they were free- which was something she had lacked in her early years and happily attending Pureblood events whilst also making other friends of her own.  At times she could be a tad overbearing but it was simply through care.  Since the death of her son, she has scarcely been seen in public, choosing to mourn in private instead.

Max

(26 years old. Deceased. FC Jonathan Keltz)

As the first child born to Lachlan and Elina Catchlove, Max unwillingly inherited a legacy that his father had never wanted. Both parents were determined not to bring him up in the image of his grandfathers and it quickly became apparent as he grew older that they needn’t have worried about it at all. He took his father’s fearlessness and his mother’s compassion and turned it into a burning desire to right the wrongs in the world. Even from a young age he grew used to spotting inequalities and addressing them however he could.

When he started Hogwart the Sorting Hat had little trouble in placing him in Gryffindor when his bravery and need to change the world knew no bounds. With his easy smile, strong moral compass and never hesitating to help someone else, Max remained popular through-out his time there. Idolised by his younger sister, he did his best to set a good example and had an easy eloquence to get all of his points across so well that she’d always envied ever so slightly.

After leaving school his hard work in his studies paid off and he was accepted into the Auror programme where he excelled, finally feeling as though he was achieving his goal of protecting those around him and making the world safer. Despite his blood status, Max had never hesitated to vocally and openly oppose not only Death Eaters and challenge Pureblood society but also denounce He-He-Must-Not-Be-Named himself. One of the first to join The Order without hesitation, as things grew worse his voice only got louder.

On the 23rd of March 1978, he was found dead in his flat in London under mysterious circumstances. While there’s no real leads and his murder remains unsolved, all signs seem to point to it being done in the name of the Dark Lord.

[ A ] Does your muse give good advice ? On what subjects ?

Depends on the topic, really. He knows a lot about music and composing as well as motorcycles. Surprisingly he knows a lot about Japanese archery as well and was a very successful archer when he was in school. He even got third place in a nationwide competition. When it comes to personal relationships or romantic relationships though he isn't the best person to ask for advice. He usually goes with what his heart tells him, not what his brain is telling him so it often leads to him coming off a little emotionally immature. Please don't ask him about motorcycles, I have absolutely no clue about them ;;

[ N ] What does your muse take note of when meeting people ?

Their overall appearance and their vibe. Because he takes a lot of care of his own appearance it's what he notices first. The first thing he usually pays attention to is someone's haircut and haircolor. 

[ G ] What is the best gift your muse has ever received ?

The birthday money that he used to buy his first guitar and a book on how to play said guitar. He still has it hanging in his office but doesn't really use it anymore. It has some stickers on it and the signatures of one of his favorite artists. (Cazqui from Nocturnal Bloodlust). 

[ E ] What is one of your muse's embarrassing memories ? 

When he asked his mom to listen to him play the guitar and she didn't want to listen to him. In that moment he felt embarrassed to even have asked her because he knew she wouldn't care. 

[ L ] What kind of music does your muse listen to ? 

Metal and Rock music. His favorites include FACT, Nocturnal Bloodlust, Slipknot, Dir En Grey, The GazettE,... Just to name a few. If his partner is in a band/is an artist he will listen to their music as well. To him it's important to get to know each other better.
