At the age of nine, Tadashi Hamada drowned in the lake at the summer camp he was attending. He should’ve died, but he didn’t. Instead, sinking to the bottom and losing consciousness one minute then being revived to the sight of dark murky water the next. He never told anyone when he returned home, well aware of the rumors that spread about the happenings to AJIN when they are discovered. He never even asked his parents. Since then, Tadashi dedicated his life to finding out this new truth thoroughly, aiming to use this immortal ability to help others instead of himself, and more importantly, finding the facts of what it truly means to be. Because God forbid Hiro have this burden thrust unto him, but if he did, Tadashi knew he will be there, fully prepared to teach and most of all. PROTECT.
Trivia
Tadashi builds Baymax to assist in more serious injuries, using himself as a guinea pig (more often than not killing himself in the process to better program the bot to prevent death)
His intellect and strong will to master skills helps him to gain near full perfect control of his IBM “Ghost”, allowing him to control it in combat better than most AJIN, but not only in combat but also in helping save people in certain circumstances as well as doing ordinary things such as cleaning the dishes, reaching/helping etc.
His trigger to losing control however, is when Hiro is threatened, is IBM usually wanting to take full control as it see’s fit to defend. (often it nearly hurts Hiro rather than protects). During these times Tadashi gives it his full strength to contain his anger/fear/worry to keep from losing control, side effects from this often being migraines, vomiting and nosebleeds.
