❝ it feels like there’s a string around my heart and it’s connected to you. everywhere you go you’re just tugging me behind, pulling me towards you. ❞
— Isaac to Anubis 🥺
"Hmm, where did you learn to say such pretty things?"
Anubis smirks playfully, walking his fingers up Isaac's back as he simply admires him. There is some kind of great irony in this, he thinks. He's spent so long not bothering with mortals other than playing his role in their deaths that he never even considered that he might fall in love with one. It's always seemed so utterly unimaginable to him. Now that it's happened, he does think it's a little funny.
Ah, well, he cherishes Isaac, truly. He has such an air about him that drew Anubis in from day one. Mortals and their odd definition of morals would make this a scandal (and how sad is that?) but he simply can't stay away. "We will have to come clean to your father eventually. How do you think he's going to feel about this? Not that I care, but I would rather not estrange you from your entire family if it can be helped."
