The voice was familiar.

      Wendy had been standing alone at the foot of the school's roundabout—where parents could drive in at a loop to pick up their kids and which also doubled as a parking lot—with a sinking feeling in her chest and her retrieved notebook and agenda in hand when floppy haired boy had come up to her. In fact, Wendy thought he looked rather like a puppy with his big and earnest brown eyes and small, hopeful smile. She couldn’t help but return it.

      He looked down and shook his head—almost bashful. “I’m sorry. I’m Baelfire. We have—“

      “—history together, yes.” Wendy finished. He sat a seat in front of her and two to the right. She had noticed the boy with the unusual name. Always dressed in plain, though what looked like expensive quality, clothes, and although he was never anything but friendly to those around him, many people seemed to avoid him. Wendy had always meant to try and talk to him, but the opportunity had never arose.

      “Yeah,” he grinned sheepishly, tugging at his backpack. “It’s just you seemed…”

      Lost, Wendy thought, glancing away. Was she so obvious?

      “…like you needed a ride,” he continued.

      Wendy thought for a moment. She knew it wasn’t wise to take rides from boys she hardly knew—especially boys whom the school populace seemed keen to avoid—but she really did need a ride. While her house was within walking distance, it would take her nearly an hour to reach it by foot, and then she’d be home late and that wouldn't bode well. Also, she desperately wanted a friend. And from what she had seen of this boy, he was someone who she’d want to be friends with, even if she'd had the pick of the school.

      So she accepted.

*wonders why all the great plot bonnies arrives after midnight* Okay, so this one is pretty much situated in the OUaT verse and situation, but Peter is NOT Rumples father etc. Basically it’s;;

What if the hole ‘Wendy is a prisoner’ thing is a misunderstanding? The first time Wendy leaves for Neverland, she doesn’t return, which worries Baelfire who’s currently living with the Darlings. Wendy encounters Peter and they grow very close etc. and he swore to protect her etc. Many, MANY years later, Baelfire (grown up) returns to Neverland with The Evil Queen, Rumplestiltskin and the whole crowd. They’ve set out to save Wendy and maybe capture Peter or something (maybe because of his magic or his heart or something). Wendy is only in the cage because Pan wants to protect her. Eventually, the visitors gets to the cage and frees Wendy. She doesn’t want to leave, because she wants to be with Peter, but they refuse to listen to her, believing it’s one of Pan’s manipulative tricks and that he’s brainwashed her or something. Pan goes after them, refusing to let go of Wendy, but he’s too late. They leave for the outside world, and Pan is out of his mind because he couldn’t keep Wendy safe. He couldn’t keep his promise and it hurts him, because Peter Pan always keep his promises. The only thing that matters to him, though, is getting Wendy back, so he departs for the outside world. There he finds Wendy, but she tries to convince him she won’t return. That she wants to stay (and maybe she says she never loved him or something). But it turns out she only wants Pan safe, because Rumplestiltskin and the Queen is keeping her brothers captive, using Wendy to get to Peter. All they want is his heart, because it contains the strongest of magic.
