he'd been dragging his feet about seeing them again, noh knew. it didn’t make sense to him - he was supposed to want to. the whole time he’d been in shield custody, he’d planned on getting back to them the moment it was possible. and yet somehow, now that he was in star city, he was doing everything in his power to avoid them. why? how? he couldn’t figure it out, and an afternoon a week or so after his return he ended up on their doorstep. he’d been expecting rose to answer the door, had been prepared to speak to her, but seeing bart threw him. he stared for a moment before beaming. “hey, love,” he said confidently, “how’ve you been?”
