“No way. You? Gosh, who’d have thought it.” Teddy says dramatically, clutching at his chest in fake-surprise at Noh’s words. The other has a.. weird past, Teddy knows that, and as much as the team may have taken him in and called him one of their own, Teddy’s not that surprised to hear Noh doesn’t have a whole lot of people he can really turn to. Still - he’s not sure he’ll be any good at describing any of this to Noh, but he’s going to try anyway.
“It’s.. hard to explain, but I’ll try.” He says with a frown, tilting his head to the side as he tries to find the best way to describe what he feels when it comes to Billy. “It’s like - like a tug, something that pulls me towards him no matter what I do. Even when we weren’t together I felt it - like nothing was really the way it was supposed to be if we weren’t together. It sounds super cliche and lame, I know, but that’s how it is. I’ve always been drawn to him, even before I really knew why.”
noh's eyes narrowed, turning to consider teddy. “if you’re trying to suggest i am anything other than wholly charming, you’d be incorrect. i simply have not had the opportunity to cultivate many relationships other than the professional.” he waited a beat, just long enough to watch teddy’s face as he added “and sexual.” it wasn’t a necessary comment, they both knew, but he couldn’t resist the impulse, just to see how he reacted.
“huh.” it sounded terribly romantic, almost too perfect in a sickly-sweet way noh didn’t totally understand. teddy was being honest, he was sure of that much, but he didn’t wholly comprehend the meanings anyhow. “teddy,” he said gravely, placing a hand on the other’s shoulder. “i believe i am in love.”
