A typical adopted AU fic where Peter is adopted by Tony at age 7 and taken good care of. He gets bitten by the spider and becomes a hero. At age 16 he starts developing feelings that are more than platonic for Tony and fights to hide them. Peter keeps his Spider-Man identity a secret from Tony because he's always witnessed how dangerous vigilantism is for Iron Man, and knows Tony would worry and disapprove of his own activities.
He ends up having to save Tony from a zealot group who try and kill Tony because they hold grudges like hella, and after rescuing him he ends up getting knocked out in the process, so his reveal to Tony is because Tony tries to revive him and takes off the mask and so there’s just angst of them yelling out of fear and panic and love and just Peter closing the argument off saying ‘ BECAUSE I LOVE YOU TONY, MORE THAN A DAD !’ and just give me Tony holding his son and lifting his head by the chin and kissing him real light and gentle and just confessing his love for him too and they share more kisses.
