so the illness that dustin had when he was a child was never cured, it was just stopped and slowed down, but one day, dustin starts to visually slow down and hush up, begins to stop hanging out with his friends. everyone begin to worry, of course, but stubborn ol’ dustin doesn’t tell anyone because he feels as though no one would really care all too much, and if they did, he wouldn’t want to worry them. well, he kind of has to tell them when he’s eventually in the hospital once more, hardly having the energy to speak. it’s months he’s like this, and with nurses and doctors working harder and harder on him, tests and operations getting longer and longer, his parents send out texts to all his friends to prepare for the worse. he sees bon and soda at his hospital bed, and they all know what’s about to happen. even dustin’s aware. yet still, he’s smiling. he’s keeping that grin strong until the end. hardly managing to signal the two down to him, he gives them a kiss on the forehead, a final “you two were the greatest friends a squid like me could ask for,” and...his eyes slowly shut, struggling, fighting to stay open before his head sinks back to the bed, smile on his face giving a fade until he’s left emotionless, death being the only thing to permenatly do him as such.

ㅤ                            he  might  be  one  of  the  few  she  believed  when  he  said  that.  it  wasn't  cheap  flattery  or  an  attempt  to  burrow  under  her  skin  like  others  have  done.  it  wasn't  even  a  lie  from  the  simple  way  he  spoke  the  words.  like  it's  a  fact.  something  she  could  cling  to,  even  depend  on.  for  that  reason  alone  her  defenses  fail  to  rise,  the  impulse  to  argue  silenced.  there  was  no  need  to  put  on  an  act  or  push  him  away  and  there's  a  distinct  feeling  of  security  in  knowing  that.  her  features  are  soft  as  she  meets  his  gaze,  a  light  smile  flashing  briefly.

The goddess of Helheim is dressed as a popular character in anime--Yor Forger from Spy x Family. Accompanied naturally by @mparwyn as Loid and their pets Snaer and Nico dressed as Anya and Bond.

For Hel's third gala since her arrival on the island, the goddess has stuck to traditions she has formed from previous summer galas. Wearing a confection lovingly designed by @mparwyn, she looks every inch a regal queen with the gold embellishments and precious gems sown into the fabric. The gown is designed with slits on either side, to provide an easier time walking, and yet losing none of its volume. For accessories, she is of course wearing a Boljande original, designed by the owner himself, a magnificent diamond tiara, fashioned like stars. Hel of course will be attending the gala with Arwyn in her arm.

Having watched the movies recently, Hel has decided to dress up as Vanellope von Schweetz this year. That or she just wanted an excuse to dress up in candy.

Convinced to not wear an obnoxiously poofy gown this year, the goddess of Helheim is dressed in a confection personally designed by @mparwyn from For the Fairest. As is tradition, Hel is also wearing a diamond set of jewels from Boljande. Unlike last year, it seems the goddess has a date to this year's event.
