He isn't... sure, exactly, what went wrong. Just that they'd been fumbling with one another on the sofa, kissing wildly, still riding the high of nearly getting killed by hunters but surviving together--and then Molly had slid her hands under his shirt, and--he isn't sure how, but she'd seemed to know something was up. And that's a surprise even to Derek, because he feels normal, like he always does, but Molly pulls her hands away and sits up straighter in his lap and when she speaks it's with a firm, soft tone he hasn't heard from anyone in years.
It isn't until he blinks at her and thinks about speaking that he realises he's half-shifted: teeth elongated, eyes wild and blue, claws digging into Molly's hips. And he's tense. His jaw feels like it might creak with how hard it clenches when they're not kissing.
"Well, we were just almost killed," he says, shifting back to human, "So..."
He speaks, and Molly is already shaking her head. It’s not what she asked; it’s a way to minimize it rather than to tell her whether he was or wasn’t okay. Not that she needed confirmation, at this point...his claws had all but punctured clothing and flesh, the tension came off of him in waves. There’s guilt in her, for not seeing the discomfort sooner.
Molly begins extracting herself from his lap, straightening her clothing. “We’ve almost been killed before and you weren’t all...” She gestured to him as she searched for the words, “Grr and Argh after. Why didn’t you just--no, nope.” Her hands rubbed over her face. “I’m sorry. Are you okay? Is it me? I didn’t...realize. I thought--I took it too far, didn’t I?”

This was new.
Well, it was all new, actually--she hadn't been at this for more than a few turns. She just hadn't met another werewolf since she'd been bitten, and it felt weird to know exactly what he was from scent alone. Last time she'd had that ability, it was when she could spot a Chad from a mile off by his Axe body spray.
Wolf or not, this guy could be...and likely was...dangerous. Molly'd kept her distance thus far, and even when Derek hadn't made any aggressive move toward her, she wasn't in a hurry to approach. She was a fighter, but this was an entirely different story.
"Where's your pack?" She finally asked. "That's how this usually goes, right?"
-- @scartissueex Though the winter break had been refreshing and she'd worked through most of it, Bloo was glad to be back around people. Having a small family (or non-existent one) tended to make holidays harder. Half-way through break, she had been itching to get back to school. Many could call her a workaholic for that and she would hardly argue. But doing work, even schoolwork, kept her mind off of more complicated things. A quiet sigh left her lips, dark eyes roaming the books in front of her nose-- her new Computer Science teacher had given them a recommended reading list and she was eager to start on it. Just as she reached out to grab for her book, someone else's hand came into view, seemingly aimed at the same book. She retracted her hand, looking embarrassed. "S-sorry! Um, which book are you getting?"
