Sleep Tight | Meg&Caleb
Caleb does his best to stay quiet as he closes the front door behind him, already shushing Fly’s excited wiggles as she comes clacking up on the floor to greet him at the front door. It’s late, later than he expected to be home. If Meg’s not asleep by now he’ll be surprised, and he doesn’t want to wake her up with an excited dog or his arrival. He locks the door behind himself and then slips into the house. His backpack he sets onto the couch instead of bothering to empty it; Meg’s probably asleep and in all honestly Caleb wants to be too- he doesn’t delay in slipping off his shoes or heading for the bedroom.
He opens the door as quietly as he can and toes inside, deciding as he does that he’ll just change now and shower in the morning. No need for that noise; his goal is the bed and his wife hiding in it.
