Kunimi: Watching idols, they’re pretty amazing
Kunimi: More than just singing while dancing, they twirl around while still moving to the right spot, and on top of that, their always smiling
Kindaichi: Your right, but you also made a typo
Kunimi: You made one too
Kindaichi: ...they’re all cute, huh?
Kunimi: ...yeah
Kunimi: Yahaba-san said let’s practice as Perfume
Kindaichi: Seriously?! rofl
Kindaichi: Did he say you should be Nocchi?
Kunimi: How did you know?
Kindaichi: Well, it’s just that you’re Nocchi
Kindaichi: You wouldn’t even need a... hairpiece?
Kunimi: A wig
Kunimi: But could I really be like Nocchi?
Kunimi: ♪ I’m a Santa Claus~ I've got a thousand presents for you~ Though each one is something cheap~
Kunimi: I wouldn’t say a thousand things, but I want a new 3DS and a balance ball and a free coupon to a cake buffet... because I wouldn’t ask for a thousand things
Kindaichi: Don’t act like you’re being so humble lol Anyway, who sings that?
Kunimi: Ellegarden
Kunimi: Recently I received these messages:
Kunimi: Bankai
Kunimi: Sorry, my mistake
Kunimi: from Iwaizumi-san... what do you think?
Kindaichi: If it’s Iwaizumi-san, I can believe it
Kunimi: There’s a character named Bertolt, isn’t there?
Kindaichi: From Shingeki, right?
Kunimi: Even now, I misread it as Berobelt every time. Is there any way to prevent this?
Kindaichi: I used to misread it all the time at first too... but even now..? lol
Kunimi: But then it’s always an image of Beroringa that comes to mind
Kindaichi: I can’t help you there rofl
Hanamaki: How in the world is almond chocolate this tasty~?
Watari: It really is delicious ^o^
Kunimi: Delicious ^.^
Hanamaki: Both Meiji and Lotte are good, but if you had to choose, which one do you prefer?
Watari: I’m not sure, but... I’d say Meiji~ ^-^
Kunimi: Meiji ^.^
Hanamaki: We already know that you adore Watari, Kunimi
Hanamaki: So, thinking about Gudetama, it really suits you, Kunimi
Kunimi: Did you have to tell me this? And this late at night...
Hanamaki: So I happened to think of it, and I tried looking up Gudetama’s birthday,
Hanamaki: and it said “They’re shipped out every day, so who knows?”. It was heartbreaking!
Kunimi: And by telling me this, what do you expect me to do?
Kunimi: Go sleep
Kunimi: After we play pokemon shiritori
Kindaichi: What are you talking about? Go to bed
Kunimi: Deoxys
Kindaichi: Shhiit. lol You fricking started on your own
Kunimi: Nincada
Kindaichi: And at that shiritori ends with this...?
Kunimi: Shaymin
Kindaichi: Night lol
Kunimi: G'night
Explanation:
The game Shiritori is played by having each word begin with the same character that the last word ended with. You can only use nouns, words cannot be repeated, and the game ends when someone says a word that ends with ‘n’ (ん), since no word begins with that character. You can add more rules (for instance, Kunimi using Pokemon names) if you’d like, but those are the basics.
Of course, to translate this into English, I had to take a few liberties with how the game ended and the words used. A more literal summation of the tweet in Japanese is
Kindaichi: go to bed (nero yo)
Kunimi: noctowl (yorunozuku)
Kindaichi: shhiit ~ started (kusso ~ hajimeyagatta)
Kunimi: spheal (tamazarashi)
Kindaichi: and at that ~ ? (shikamo ~ ka)
Kunimi: kecleon (kakureon)
Kunimi intentionally used a pokemon ending with ‘n’ to end the game after Kindaichi suggested it, rather than using a pokemon off of which Kindaichi could say “goodnight”
