66. “i thought i’d never see you again” hug
Sometimes at night, a person would have horrible nightmares way beyond their comprehension. Often times, this would manifest something that they were afraid to lose or afraid to see happening in real life. That night, Joohyun shifted around on the bed, the blanket kicked down of the bed and long gone as the horrible flashes of her dreams began to haunt her. She was sweating, crying and thrashing around. To her, it all looked real. To her, it all felt real. It felt like every word of goodbye stung her real self rather than herself in the dream alone. Joohyun was too weak and gentle-hearted for goodbyes. Seeing and hearing her best friend bid her goodbye through a harsh occurrence thought up by her twisted subconscious only made her sob until she had woken up, until she decided she was tired and it was enough. She opens her eyes, tears brimming the corner of it. “H-Haeun...” She immediately calls for the person in question, shooting up from where she was lying down to search for the female. Apparently, the other had heard it. She concluded this when the door had flown open, revealing a worry-stricken Haeun. At the sight of her, Joohyun quickly got up, hugging the other, a hug that was different from the other times. “I-I thought it was real...” was all she said before her words were choked down by another sob.
