{{Hostile Takeover}} Drabble

                      They were not bones, but they cracked like them; structure below mock skin snapping under what looked from a distance a delicate touch. Horns crumbled into dust, swept away by the eternally blowing winds into the infinite fires. Eyes, voids of darkness and knowing of all things wicked and wrong, looked almost pleading up at the being who stepped upon them like single defiant ant.                                                     "You can't do this."                        Their voice, howls and screeching and metal on metal, was choked on the bile that held their form together yet had the gale to sound demanding.                        There was a smile on the beings face, horribly calm and disgustingly serene, as they plucked the crown from their head and brushed off the desperately clinging remains of their horns.                                                      "Oh, but that's the kicker--                                                                                               I can."                        Brown hues burned with all the intensity of the fires that made up the Kingdom of the Damned, but held a cold indifference that even the furthest corners of space could not wish to recreate, as they stared into their blackened eyes. Their voice carried, friendly and gentle and horrible, and the masses of demons just outside the Infernal Palace roared and stomped out their pleasure for their defeat; the noise enough to make the Earth above quake, only growing louder as the blazing sign of superiority was placed upon a head so deceivingly human.                                                     "I can and I have. This,"                         Arms rose and swept, the winds flowing with the motions and fires cracking like whips to punctuate their new master, and gestured to all; the masses of millions of demons, souls hanging from hooks and in cages, and nightmares stalking the endless shadows.                                                     "Is all mine. Every last damnable pebble."
