I made some new additions to my plants so I wanted to show them. Take into consideration that since English is not my first language, I may be calling my plants by the wrong name since I know them by their Spanish names and I have to trust google to tell me how people call them in English.
I have many pots all over the place with different color impatiens because I just think they are so cute and they are very easy to take care of and growing more of them is very simple too.
These are probably my favorite ones in terms of color.
These are some Petunias which I'm a little worried about because I got them recently and I read that the rain is very bad for the flowers which are why when you water them you have to avoid getting the plant wet and it's been raining a lot... I tried putting them in places where they won't get wet but it's kinda hard 'cause it's not like there's a place with a roof.
This is my favorite part, here's where I had prepared the soil to plant veggies and stuff. I began with squash and black seed squash, which can be kind of invasive so you have to keep them under control but then I went to the hospital for two weeks and no one looked after them so they took over. I need to do something but I don't have good gloves and their stems and vines are very prickly.
This is a type of Begonia, I think it's a Begonia Maculata but I'm no plant expert. This one is probably one of the oldest plants in the house 'cause it's been here since my grandma bought this property and has survived several murder attempts by my grandpa and my dad through the years. It currently doesn't have flowers, they usually blossom in December and they are baby pink.
Another survivor great is a hibiscus. I didn't take pictures of it because the flowers haven't blossomed yet so it just looks like a big bush. For the same reason, I haven't taken pics of the cape jasmine bush and a small Paraguayan jasmine.
The one next to the white impatiens is apparently called jungle flames which is like the coolest name ever, I also got them recently so I'm not very familiar with them yet but they are pretty cool.
Google tells me these are called snapdragon. Fun fact: some of their Spanish common names include bunnies, dead bunnies, lion's mouth, little dragon, wolf's snout, death of the Spanish, death of the Italian, bread and cheese, little dogs, toads, and, baby Jesus's little shoes. I remember my grandpa had so many of these in his farmhouse and I loved them, now that I know all their ridiculous common names I love them even more and I hope they live long.
