In another life time, in another universe.

Maria and Gareth never split. They had children, five of them:

Emily Alice Mallory (Emma Watson, 5th pic) was first, a complete surprise, all of her mother and father's intelligence and bravery, with a touch of rebellion. Fiercely protective of her siblings. Studied Art at university. Arthur Ronald Mallory (Freddie Highmore, 6th pic) was second, a year after Emily. Soft, stoic, kind and deeply empathetic Arthur was what some might call a sensitive boy. Guinevere Mae Mallory (Daisy Ridley, 3rd pic) was third, Arthur was barely one. Out-going, loving, eccentric and the biggest extrovert Guinevere - Ginny unless she's being told off, is a breath of fresh air to every room she walks into. Henry John Mallory (Louis Hynes, 7th pic) was a surprise, they were definitely done. Three was more than enough. Ginny was just turning four when they found out. So along came Henry, ridiculously intelligent, curious, always experimenting or creating and his mothers clumsiness make for the perfect glorious mess. Richard Tobias Mallory (Jacob Tremblay, 4th pic) another surprise. Henry was eight and her came trouble. Richard, Richie or Rich when he wasn't in trouble. Curious, adventurous, always asking questions. All the boldness of his big sisters and the curiosity of his Henry with none of the ability to stop himself getting in trouble by stopping the thought leaving his mouth before he's processed it.

Family & Friends - Mum & Dad - Recast!

Maria very much gets her romantic sensibilities from her parents, it's hard not to see the world through such a romantic lens when you consider their story.

Anna was Nicholas' secretary, the two fell in love whilst Anna was pregnant with Maria after her then boyfriend knocked her up and took off with all her money and half the stuff in the apartment.

Anna couldn't admit her love for Nicholas, not when she was heavily pregnant and struggling. Nicholas was just too scared she might reject him and it would ruin their friendship.

When Anna went into labour in Nicholas' office, they confessed their feelings and Nicholas said he was absolutely ready to take on the new baby, as if it were his own. The two were married when Maria was two (Anna made Nicholas wait).

They have an incredibly happy marriage and worked together the whole time at Nicholas' law firm, in retirement Anna has become a successful romance novelist.

Maria is incredibly close to both her parents, and they share a bond that's really important to her.

After years of tension Maria and James had a single night together before he was kidnapped in North Korea, during his capture Maria found she was pregnant, she kept the baby and gave birth to Daphne whilst James was still captured.

She had every intention of telling him about his daughter but then Maria herself was captured. She missed out on almost a year of her daughters life. When Maria was getting her life back on track she had a visit from James between missions, she had every intention of telling him about Daphne, however she overheard a conversation that made her reconsider. Not wanting to be a burden or James to stay out of obligation she kept the secret.

20 Years later and getting ready to get married Daphne decided she wanted to know who her father was and why there was such so much secrecy around it, and her mother's past. She did a lot of digging and some investigating until eventually Daphne ended up bringing Maria and James back together. Revealing the whole story, including everything both parents had been through and their previous jobs as spies.

I don't know what this is okay I just had this in my head and decided to put it out - based on my retired Brosnan!Bond...
