“Well look who it is.”

Resting their chin in their hand, they leaned forward in their seat, waving over to Hubert who stood in the crowd. It was easy enough to spot the other man. He stuck out like a sore thumb---it was almost as if a shadow was walking on it’s own. Which, given some of the types of people they’d seen here, they honestly wouldn’t be surprised if that was possible.

Truly anything seemed possible here.

“I’ve only just gotten here myself but it looks like we’re all having another reunion,” they mused, motioning to the seat across from them.

“Care to sit down and get a bit oriented, or does the emperor’s right hand man have more pressing matters to attend to?”

While this city was vast, it was evident after a few months being in it that no matter how many people occupied this place it would be impossible to avoid those that came from back home. For one reason or another they simply all found each other---whether that was luck or not depended on who the person was. In most cases, Jeritza was indifferent to those who he spotted. Being one to not make bonds he didn’t really have many he sought out, and he had no strong feelings towards those that were on opposite ends of the war.

This run in, however, would be one he counted as unlucky.

Standing in front of Hubert, his gaze was fixed into a glare and mouth drawn to a frown. It didn’t matter how long they had known one another, or that they held the same loyalties to Edelgard herself, the other man still managed to aggravate him consistently. Purposefully too, he was quite sure. It was irritating.

“Hubert,” while he tried to speak with indifference, the annoyance evident in his face managed to seep it’s way in anyway. “Here I thought I had been lucky enough that you would not be here... But it seems not.”

“Imagine how unappreciated I felt when I came racing over to help you out of the goodness of my heart and you don’t even notice me until we’re about three or four monsters deep.” Sure talking and teasing about this sort of stuff wasn’t ideal in the middle of fighting even when it came to Hak’s standards, but something about how uptight this guy was reminded him of Kija. Of course, some of the ways that this guy fought also reminded him of the white dragon warrior -- just the chaos in his fighting and ruthlessness in his fighting style really reminded Hak that they were on a battlefield of sorts. Forging a quick alliance for the time being to get them out of this tight spot, it was pretty clear that this guy was used to fighting in some shape or form. Being here never made for ideal conditions, but he was quick to respond to any feedback from him.

“Still, your ‘world’ sounds irritating as all hell. Shrouded in darkness? How’re you even seeing clearly enough to fight these things off?” His world was lit normally and the speed of these beings was enough to throw him off sometimes even.

Being plucked from one’s own world and suddenly thrust into another was something jarring to anyone, Jeritza was not the exception to that. Particularly when he was tossed in without his armor and no weaponry, given a useless wooden lance instead. Sighing as he stared at the piece of wood in his hands, he decided it was probably best to keep it with him and try and get himself grounded. He was told very little and then simply thrust on the streets---of which were confusing in themselves. Looking around amongst the crowds, a face stuck out at him. One that he recognized.

Perhaps he could be of some help here.

Stepping through the crowds, he didn’t pay any mind to those he might have accidentally bumped into, or who even spoke out at him as he went. He knew what he was after and he wasn’t going to waste time getting there.

“Vestra...” he spoke once he had approached, not caring if the words caught the other off guard.

“What is this place? Whose doing is it that we’re here?”

Another challenger to step into close proximity to the beginnings of his barrier -- Gundam fixing that immediately with a quick little step backwards to regain that lost distance. He was well known in his own academy, however he would not fault the residents of this establishment for their unaware nature, at least not yet. A firm warning though, now that would surely leave his mouth. 

“One eyed fiend, cease your movements this instant! Any secret that lays beyond the veil of organic strands will surely fall in the face of my poisonous barrier -- you best stand your ground and state your mortal alias post haste!”
