Let It Snow ❅ Y+J
“Just a few more steps babe.” Junhyung spoke and you could practically hear the humor in his voice. He was nervous, very much so, but who wouldn’t be when you were taking your boyfriend to your home where they would be meeting your parents? Shuffling forward, he made sure to keep his hands over Yoseob’s eyes, not wanting him to be able to peek until they made it to the edge of the now frozen lake. It seemed they were slightly early, only a few couples he recognized skirting across the iced body of water, some standing nearby the little stand that sold various hot drinks to keep warm. It was definitely needed, because he could already see his breath curling in the air when he exhaled and their kind didn’t really have a liking for being cold. Their feet crunched underneath the newly fallen snow and it only seemed to make the scene more of a winter wonderland. “Okay, I’m going to let you go.” Junhyung dropped his hands from the male’s cheeks and instead found them wrapping around his waist, holding him close so that his chest was pressed flush against his lover’s back.
He knew what he saw and while it wasn’t overly extravagant, it held some nostalgic meaning to the elf to finally have someone worth brining to the winter festival that only seemed to be a couple’s thing. Of course as a child, he had spent many days with his brother and his parents skating along the lake, but now it felt so much more real and important. “Welcome to where I grew up for the last oh, three hundred years.” Houses lined around the water on all sides and went acres back, his parents being one of the ones that sat closer to the front, but he was in no rush to show him off. First he wanted to spend time with him alone. Tipping his chin forward, he leaned against the blonde’s shoulder, the warmth of his sweater bringing a smile as hints of his cologne stirred comfort in his stomach. “I didn’t think I would be this nervous bringing you here, but you are the first.” And hopefully the only one.
