Never. That’s canon. - NO LONGER ACCEPTING

“I’ll give points for finding me. Unless, you just grid searched the city, that’s cheating.” It took awhile to ditch the handful of agents that were tailing her. Joey always had a sway on them. She knows he just worried. That shouldn’t be his burden.
“Want a drink?” Adeline offered out the whiskey bottle. She doesn’t think it would do much physically to a speedster, but it feels rude not to offer.
“It’s my fault, you know.” Everyone kept telling her it wasn’t. But they didn’t know. Not really. Not even JOEY knew the whole truth. “Grant was away at military school when a mercenary kidnapped Joey. He wanted a contact name from ‘Deathstroke’. Slade’s pride almost cost Joey his life, and DID cost him his voice.” Even enhanced reflexes weren’t enough to stop the knife from sliding across their son’s throat. She still wakes up, crying, clutching her hands around blankets like it was Joey’s throat.
“But I didn’t have the will to tell Grant about Slade’s involvement.” Why? She was so mad at Slade she shot him. She still was furious, but maybe she wanted someone to be mad at her too. “He ended up idolizing ‘Deathstroke’, not knowing it was his father. HIVE must have seen the desperation. They tried to synthesize a serum from Slade’s blood. To try and replicate his abilities.” Everyone wanted power. Taking a long drink from the bottle, Addie stared at the name in stone.
“Want to know a secret? There’s nothing there. The serum ravaged through his body and didn’t leave anything left to bury.” Something about his body rejecting it she thinks. “But I didn’t know what to do. I wanted some kind of closure, so we still did the funeral. Just closed casket.” It didn’t help her grief.
“I don’t know what I’m doing. It’s childish to have run off and drink myself into a stupor just over a tech bug.” That’s what Searchers said it was. “For some reason my security system glitched. It said Grant had scanned into the building.”
