What is your favorite thing about playing lance? Least favorite thing?
|| My favorite thing about playing Lance is that he’s actually a more complex character than people let on and perhaps the most human, because he has his own insecurities despite how boisterous, obnoxious, and arrogant he acts around his friends. He so badly wants to be the cool kid, but he isn’t quite that. It’s fun to write it out, but it also makes me sad because I just want him to be happy.
My least favorite thing? I haven’t quite figured out what that is yet. Everything about playing Lance is a lot of fun, but if I had to choose, it’s when people tend to underestimate his own intelligence. He is smart in his own right; maybe he’s not the normal definition of smart, but he’s definitely smart if in my hc he got accepted to every university in the Ivy League yet chose the Galaxy Garrison because the military was his calling. I don’t know. Just bugs the hell out of me when people do that because I deal with the same shit. Makes me really feel for Lance.
