The bustling of the café enveloped the small bubble, the warmer tone of amber gliding through the large glass windows into the active life. Individuals enraptured by their newspaper, work meetings, school assignments and coffee dates carried on in exuberance as the raven called out to her latest customer.
“Miss Seo-ah? Your caramel latte,” she rang with a smile, genuine in all of its creases.
A small nod whispered good day as she turned to clean the kitchen appliances, wiping the steamers and storing away any open messes.
It was the afternoon jingle of the front door chime that caught her attention, alerting the barista to attend to the till. Raising her eyes from the countertop to her newest customer, a halo of the sunset’s redness engulfed the male before her. Caught off-guard, she stammered, eyes focussing to the foreground that was him.
“Ah, h-hi there. What would be your order?”
