He writes every single day.
Words he can’t say, addressed to people he would never see again. and when he falls asleep, Hatchworth sneaks a peek. Mostly out of curiosity, but also out of pity-- there had to be something someone like him could do, so when he finds a letter addressed to someone who had been around until very recently, he tapes it up, he addresses it, and sends it off through his portal.
It would find PJ Murdock somewhere in the middle of a moonless night, slapping him right upside the head when he least expects it.
“Dear Mister PJ. Nemo wrote you a letter so I mailed it for you! please reply ASAP if possible :D” is written on the outside, and it is signed Hatchworth.
Hatchworth has drawn a picture of a three headed bear with only one eye rearing and shooting flames at the moon, which also only has one eye and is depicted with horrifying realism.

What sort of fears does Nemo have? If so, do they stem from anything in particular? Does he mean to overcome them or is he beyond that point? What has he recently overcome that he feels he's grown more confident over?
Nemo’s fears usually bubble as a need arises. His longevity allows him the awful benefit of attempting to desensitize him to a lot of the horrors of the world, so it’s more of the little things that get to him, most of them having to do with his death and the subsequent things that come with death– parasites, maggots, decomp, and being buried alive. Moreso, he’s afraid of being abandoned entirely (and things aren’t going so well in that department lately), and that eventually without care, he will simply cease to function or exist.
He copes with a lot of his fears by keeping relatively clean, constantly bathing and wasting precious water for it, refusing to even give off an odor for fear it would attract carrion-eaters. There’s something about the being buried alive bit that gets him though, and he can’t spend too much time in caves or prospecting or the claustrophobia will set in rather quickly– this fear also applies to his fear of open water, for obvious reasons. Bodies sink, and when a body is 45% heavy synthetic, it’s a recipe for disaster, at least for him. Thankfully, Lake Mead is far away from the crater, but the water purification plant is off limits to him.
And while not really linked to his fear of rot, are seagulls. Again, not a problem in the desert, but he despises seagulls, he fears them and refuses to visit coastal regions for it. Somewhere in his past, it was a seagull that carried the rot to him and basically murdered him, that vile little sky rat. He has nightmares about those birds, and a lot of birds come to think of it. There’s not a whole lot he can do to combat that fear.
But what he can fight is that creeping fear no one wants him. Which seems to be true enough lately, and he’s finding himself more content with loneliness than having human company around.
Eyes Legs and Other
physical appearance meme: accepting
eyes answered here!
[legs]:are they solidly built, short and stubby, or long and graceful, do they have knobbly knees or rounded knees, what’s their gait, etc.
Nemo’s legs are a little out of proportion with his body. His height is average if not tall, but his torso is so thin that his lankiness gives off the illusion of his legs being longer than they should be. Illness has made him thin, where before his legs were strong and powerful, making him a terribly fast runner but since the loss of the left, he has yet to move faster than a hobble. On a good day, his strides are long and without worry, though there’s a very strong possibility he is drugged out of his mind if he’s walking with such ease. Much like the rest of him, his legs are/were covered in fine hair, his knees and ankles are knobby things, but his legs are well defined given a lack of fat over all.
[other]:any other obscure feature or tiny detail that the asker is interested in, could include fantastical elements such as a tail, wings, horns, must be stated by asker, etc.
Wasn’t specified, but I’ll talk about his augmentations
When he had first started out, his limbs had been copper, replaceable metals and scrap he could dig up and melt down. Given the saturnite alloy plant, it wasn’t hard to find the equipment to start milling more durable parts. His limbs lately are steel and rubber, at least the ones he can reach. His core, while still fairly new from the replacement of the broken one, is dark and bronzed, having reacted to the soul matter keeping him alive and preserved.
However, his back is a new beast, and an old one. Nemo’s had a replacement spine since his reintroduction into the world of the living, but that quickly corroded into an old, squeaking mess. It was replaced by a freelance surgeon a century or so ago. But within the past few years, a nasty fall severed was was left of his spinal cord, and a new spine had to be introduced to make him mobile again. This was constructed later, and the materials used are sterile and volatile at best– the visible spine starts at the base of his skull and gets more prominent towards the middle of his back, then tapers off just above his tailbone. There are vents for energy cast off by the mysterious blue substance that can be seen through them, and it’s the only thing keeping him walking. He can’t bend very far in any direction, but given enough medicine (most of it self-prescribed), he can function almost normally.
[eyes]

[eyes]:not just the colour, but the shape, the length of their eyelashes, whether they’re alert or usually half-closed, large or small, sunken into the face, ringed by bags, etc.
Nemo’s eyes are constantly tired looking, old if that’s at all possible with such a preserved face. His irises are still a dirty copper brown, but the whites have yellowed with jaundice and the introduction of soul matter instead of blood. On the darkest nights people swear they glow. The skin around his eyes is dark like a half healed bruise or the scar of a burn, his eyes are sunk into his skull a little and the pre-decomposition has made his eyes look wider than they should. His eyelashes are long, having inherited his mother’s features more than his father’s.
[chest]

[chest]:(potentially nsfw) what size are their breasts if they have them, nipple colour and shape and size, do they have visible muscle definition/abs, etc.
Nemo’s chest is not under developed but being he is scrawny, it lacks real definition. A lot of the muscle on the left side has been destroyed thanks to the core embedded in his chest. Overall, he’s not much to look at when his shirt comes off, his ribs poke through the skin, his clavicle sticks out too much, where he doesn’t have hair is covered in pale and warped scars that stretch from the skin on his shoulder where his arm was lost to the top of his hip.
