A topic? Alright, not sure if I'm doing this right but... How about a topic about specific blood types? is there a difference in taste for you or is it all the same? if there is a difference, What's your favorite?
Eh, I honestly try not to make a big deal on the blood differences and the like. I mean, obviously, it’s canon in Hellsing that vampires can detect different blood types by taste alone, but it’s also a vampire-fiction trope that’s been done to death and pretty much made laughable by Twilight and Bella’s smelly blood.
I will say at his age, I think he prefers the blood of creatures other than human. Rather suppose it’s like spicing up a predictable diet. He’s been subsisting off human blood for centuries, so the blood of something inhuman is exciting and has a different kind of effect beyond nourishment.

But seriously, less about Alucard and more about Hellsing, mostly because i fantasize about UGH HOW AWESOME IF THE ORIGINAL INCARNATION OF HELLSING WOULD HAVE BEEN THE ABE AND THE HARKERS HUNTING VAMPIRES AND SHIT AND THE MAIN REASON ALUCARD WAS UTILIZED WAS BECAUSE JOHN AND MINA WERE GETTING UP THERE IN AGE AND ABE WAS DEF TOO OLD AND HAD A KID TO WORRY ABOUT???????

Has new canon material ever forced you to adjust your headcanons?
Not in many years. I’ve been in the fandom off and on since 2005, two years before the manga was completed iirc. Back then, I was reading chapters as they were published in YKO (and of course scanned and translated into english), and it did absolutely become a clusterfuck of speculation during the peak of the Battle of London chapters. Mostly, it can be seen in my post-war fanfics from around that time, though I will say there was a time that I swore UP AND DOWN that Integra would self-turn into a vampire like Vlad had.

Oh man, I am so open with his head canons, tho. This is always so hard to think of. They always end up being TMI sexual or really pointless rubbish. I think when people ask me this, I’d like maybe a prompt of some kind to maybe lubricate the gears so to speak. XD

Has your own interpretation changed from when you first began playing the character?
Oh lord yes. On a whole he’s become much more independent (I know it doesn’t always show, but it’s more prevalent post war), and less self-hating. It’s actually very hard for me to write him in that mentality these days, though I can it just takes a little longer to get him in that mode.
And I suppose I should be honest, that my increasingly less, ah, romanticized view of Hellsing has coloured my viewpoint and way i write him. You know, his situation isn’t cute or fun, and though he seems to be coping, a lot of it isn’t in any healthy way when you really break down canon. Basically, I went from writing him as a willing servant to someone suffering Stockholm Syndrome and fairly self-aware of that madness.
