And if he were to walk into their apartment at this very moment, he would be greeted by what could practically be considered boughs of tinsel and other green embellishments lining the walls, various tables, and /yes/ even his desk. Though she at least added in some silver and blue decorations to offset it all -- either way it was sure to be a surprise for him.
And surprise it did. With the door clicking shut behind him, Daegil would venture into the apartment with curious eyes and mute awe. Well… The holidays have most certainly arrived, hadn't they? “What’s all this?” he’d wonder aloud with a pinch of laughter, the sound not nearly as nonplussed as it was warm. Speechless. Daegil found his roommate working with the remaining decorations, a hand falling solidly atop of hers. “Hey, I think we’re good… But if you put as much thought in my gift as you did this place, I have to admit, I’m a bit excited.”
And it was while he stood in the way of the mirror ( clearly blocking it on /purpose/ ), that she had the best idea to get him to move. Quickly would she just ... stuck her freezing cold hands under his shirt right along his lower back.
There was an air of frustration that she’d exuded, a flurry of agitation that simply warmed his heart. A stranger to regret and compassion ( oh, how cold-blooded ), her fuming rants had always served as some comfort to him; giving her a hard time was quickly becoming a hobby—
“Jesus Christ!—” Quickly, Daegil tore himself away from her touch, the contrast of heat and cold a jarring sensation. Reflexively, he’d grab her wrists as defense, puzzled eyes looking down with great exasperation. “You’re freezing. Seriously, you nearly gave me a heart attack! What’s wrong with you? Why are you that cold?” Then, without warning, he’d drape himself over her small frame, warm hands snaking around the slim of her waist as the two teetered background minutely. Chin dug into the top of her head, the embrace too harsh to be considered 'an act of good will'. “Let me help with that. You might catch a cold. Better safe than sorry.”
And it was within the serenity of the evening, each busy with their own agendas ( yet still they sat at the table together ), that she would deftly grab a lone flower from the vase between them, leaning over ever so slightly to weave it gently within the ink colored locks he called hair. the fuchsia matched well with his complexion, but she would never say this to him, in fact she would only smile even as he looked at her oddly, choosing to go back to her studies with lips turned upward still.
The motions of his pencil stagnated, Daegil silent in the wake of her approach. And it was such an innocent gesture, a simple flower finding itself nestled between brown hair that curled and waved. Now, what possessed her to do that? With a coy smile - boyish and modest - her roommate would ask, “so, what do you think?” It wasn’t every day this proud, vain man wore the face of humility. She should cherish the moment; only she managed to render him so humble. “Pretty handsome, right?”
Send (///д///) for my character’s reaction to yours tripping, knocking mine over and landing atop them in a rather risque-like way.
“You’re driving me nuts!” she yelled, an anger that crept up her voice like cracking thunder and raging swells. She was a volley of spite both unforgiving and brutal, and when given the chance, she’d effortlessly tear him down. She’d rain down holy hell— Honest, she would.
However, Daegil remained unimpressed, a bored “wow, and here I thought it was just me" the only result her anger bore.
Oh, goodness, she was being tested.
Slamming her books down onto the table, any lingering ambition to study was effectively squandered. In lieu of it, however, was the need to bicker and argue, Tenten’s fury directed toward the insufferable man standing idly across the room. Arms crossed, Daegil watched her. Relaxed, he did not flinch.
Taunted, Tenten rose from her seat and accosted her roommate. “Listen here, Daegil,” she seethed in all the manners of promised destruction and pain, a level of intimidation meant to silence and paralyze. However, the tactic did not go as planned, and as she angrily devoured the distance that separated them, her footing floundered and her balance rocked. Frantically, Tenten tried to recover from her mindless mishap, but fortune would not grace her, and down down down she went.
Falling into him, Daegil’s back met the ground with a loud and violent thud!, Tenten’s small frame safely nestled into his chest. She felt the groan growing deep in his chest - the one below her fingertips, warm and present - but the sound never reached her ears, and she wondered, briefly, why was that? What had happened?
Her mind reeling from the impact, it took a few seconds to register what had happened: One, she was an idiot. Two, he was a mistake. And, three, they were kissing. Kissing.
Well, more appropriately, their mouths were slotted together - just touching - and that groan had lost itself in the press of their lips. Tenten, startled, retreated as quickly as she could, her face a deep scarlet that grew hot at her ears and all the way down to her toes. Still, she found it was herself who’d become speechless. Paralyzed.
“Was that really necessary?” Daegil grumbled lamely through the haze of her surprise, a hand rising to brush at the smeared blood on his lips. Blood… Blood? Soon, Tenten grew more acutely aware of the coppery tang on her own teeth, and, Christ, she bit him. She actually bit hi— “Next time, warn me first, alright?”
Stunned, the young woman looked down at him, fists clenching the hem of his shirt all the tighter. This good for nothing bastard… She should have bit down harder. Perhaps then he’d lose his ability to talk.
