well, wasn’t that awkward.
lucia had been on a job, visiting a planet to have some half-yearly routine check ups on a couple of farms. everything had been as usual, until suddenly an unknown ship had landed in the middle of some crops, and she had had the unfortunate luck to meet (what she assumed) were some very rude space pirates. they did not only destroy the crops, but also stole the people’s assets, and in the end even kidnapped her -- the last task she guessed had been a rather spontaneous decision, but that didn’t make it less any uncomfortable for her.
now she already was sitting for some days in this very boring cell on this very boring ship, asking herself what the fuck they even wanted from her. till now no one had thankfully tried to marry her, so she only could assume they either wanted to extort some money from people who cared for her, or would try to sell her as a slave. neither of the options sounded good, especially because she literally had no one outside her job, and she doubted her boss would pay money to get her out again. so slave it was. a horrifying image, only getting worse that there was nothing to do in the cell than to stare at the wall.
she had been lying down on this incredible uncomfortable bed and tried to distract herself with listing all bones in a healthy sheep’s body, as she suddenly heard a commotion. a new noise she wasn’t used to yet, so of course her head peeked up -- right as someone (girl? guy? the helmet hid that well) entered who didn’t look like anyone from the crew at all. another kidnapper? a slave trader? a police officer? she didn’t know, but in that moment she realised that it couldn’t get much worse. okay, death maybe. but she refused to think about it.
lucia rushed to the glass wall separating her from the corridor, only to knock frantically against it. hopefully they heard her. “hello? hello !!! hello, my name is lucia, nice to meet you, uhm, i mean, hello, i got kidnapped, would you maybe mind helping me to get out again? i promise i’m not worth much, i’m just an animal doctor, but if you let me out i will be utterly grateful. please, sir. or ma’am. or neutrum. i really don’t want to be kidnapped anymore!”
