Have you ever written a canon muse that you first thought of ‘meh’ when they appeared in their canon show/movie/book?

Yeah, there’s been a couple and things have gone a variety of ways good or bad depending on how building them went or how the canon went as more information came out and available. For the worst example, I picked up Roswaal from re:zero to enable my friend a bit who was writing muses from that series... I thought he was okay, but amusing enough that I gave a wink at trying to write him.

...but as season 2 aired and more information was available/translated from source material I went from indifferent to just hating him. Of course I started heavily disliking the series as a whole, but Roswaal in particular and how the narrative played him out just slkdfjlskd gave me the worst vibes. Was very happy to pull him off the roster!

And then I’d say Diluc was one I was mostly ‘aight cool’ about when I first thought about writing a genshin muse. But as I did my research and felt more vibes while finding his voice I came to adore him. Probably my favorite character narratively in the series. There’s enough content there for him to have his own game and story if you ask me, but hoyo won’t give it to us because they’re fixated on other things.

situational context for this one. and it depends on whether or not he thinks it's worth it lgkfjdgdk. like of course if virote's at fault, he'll acknowledge it and he will extend an olive branch and try to get everything settled. virote's really good at resolving conflict and making sure everyone walks out at least semi-satisfied. but that's only if he knows he played a role in shit falling apart in the first place lol... but like if it's on the other person in terms of fucking up, then he's not even gonna budge. there's this post i reblogged a while back and it really sums up how he feels about giving second chances:

platonic, familial, romantic, etc etc etc. and of course he’ll have his exceptions because he’s a person that wavers and waffles, but for the most part. the effort he makes is the effort that he makes. and he expects u to make urs too. and if u dont, then it’s goodbye. if he’s in the position to fix a broken relationship because he’s been an asshole, then sure. give him a hammer and some nails and he’ll patch things up. but if not? and there’s no effort made? then forreal bye lollll.

of course if the other person is truly apologetic, he’s okay at finding a middle ground there.

☢ What fads/trends are you so over?

im not really the type to really pay attention too much to the various trends and fads that go through the rpc because they usually always in flux, kinda like fashion tends lol. but something that ive consistently seen throughout the rpc throughout the years are: tiny little box themes with obscure little symbols for the links that blend into the background and none are labeled when you hover over andyou have to click all over to find the pages, you end up clicking on on the ask and archive before you find your rules or about. like i get that it looks nice, but please, make your links easy to find!! there are some blogs i open up and i cant even find a reblog button or a like button because its hidden in the theme via obscure symbols. another fad ive seen recently is any icons below 50x50 px. please, we are always pushing it with our tiny icons, anything smaller than that is so pixelated you cannot even see what the icon is supposed to be portraying. it looks so archived and pixelated that honestly the excuse of 'its an aesthetic' starts to fall apart, it looks bad in my opinion. please for everyone's eyes, do not make your icons smaller than 50x50.

also purpose prose. i havent seen any legit purp prose since my return to tumblr but you know theres still a lot of people writing it out there. now, its one thing to write purple prose and be self aware that its over the top, cheesy and unnecessary, its another to write purple prose and think it makes you seen educated, intellectual, a 'word-smith' (girl youre just making up words so uh...i *guess* youre a word-smith, just as smashing some metal i *guess* technically makes you a blacksmith)or otherwise better than people who dont write purple prose, thats just delusional.

ive seen some people who write purple prose who act like they are shakespeare or the next anne rice, and put down writers who go with more 'simple' writing. ive seen people say that no one on this site knows how to write, meanwhile their writing looks like they beat a thesaurus into giving them everything it's got, including it's lunch money. but what i dont think they understand is that if you give a book written entirely in purple prose, and a book written entirely in 'simple' writing to an editor, the editor is gonna laugh at the purple prose, send it back and say no one is going to read this, because its impossible to read. 99 percent of purple prose makes absolutely no sense, it achieves nothing that a simple sentence couldn't achieve better and more precisely with better readability, and it kinda makes you look like a stuck up dolt if you legitimately believe purp prose or any type of writing style makes one more intelligent or a better writer than another.

lyric starters arent good i literally dont give a shit what yall think glfdgjkldf. theyre not good. unless you find a lyricist who writes in a conversational way like utada hikaru, joni mitchell, etc etc that feels like an actual line of dialogue then sentence starters mean jack shit and they’re just god awful. like what in the hell am i supposed to do with these amateur ass lines from imagine dragons...... vomit on them and die????? glfkdjglkjg. theyre NOT good. please stop putting lyric starters on my dash.

☀ What's your rp pet peeve?

Blog hopping. People who jump from one blog to the next (this is different from juggling several, mind you) to follow trends or whatever is popular. They follow the sequence of making the blog, posting promos and starter calls, talking about headcanons. Then inevitably there’s the post about ‘omg look at this character i love them’ and then they’re like ‘haha’ im making a blog.

I see promos where people are like “hi its ____ with another blog because I have no self control!” and... I just don’t understand what they’re hoping to achieve? And people who follow them? It’s just beyond me. I have taken to just not following people after tracking where they move a few times.

❥ Has someone ever ruined an FC or character for you?

I can’t say anyone’s ruined a particular FC, but there are definitely series that are just so saturated in their use as RP FCs that I’m just kinda.. bored of them. I’ve seen dozens of people use characters from that lonely planet manga for example. And also a lot of snow white with red hair. They’re fine faces but off the top of my head I can think of 4 people using the same face from them.

I understand to a point why this happens. Perhaps icons from those series are more readily available and people don’t want to make their own, but are the resources really that thin? Making basic icons is really not that hard, you don’t need photoshop... eh, maybe this is a bit of a peeve. But I’m also a stupid fucking idiot who only seems to use weird ass random series and minor characters as FCs, so maybe this is a touch of dumb elitism I should shove down.

   “Shut up.” A growled command given to no one in particular as the tiefling walked with an irritated fervor, each step just short of a frustrated stomp. His tail whipping back and forth behind him and his fanged teeth clenched, a mix of anger and determination plastered upon his face. 

   “Shut up.                Shut up.                        Shut up you fucking thing!” 

   Finally his low growls would grow into a barked command, once again not seemingly targeted towards anyone around him...nothing but an oddly ornate dagger clenched in his left hand, his grip so tight that one would nearly worry he’d break the handle if given any more time with it.

   “Why wont you be quiet you gods damned toothpick?! You aren’t getting what you want, so get over it!” His words would echo outward, one hell of a display to those that may have been watching this strange demonic man arguing with himself...

      ...yet for a trained eye the sheer arcane nature surrounding both him and the blade, energies battling one another for dominance, would be hard to miss.
