17. What was your character’s favorite toy as a child?

Most of Shilo’s toys were improvised as kid! Her parents never really got her any real children’s toys so she’d end up going outside and playing in the dirt with sticks or spinning around rakes and hoes to pretend sword fight with

35. How does your character behave around people they like?

If she likes you she’ll be very snarky and full of sarcastic jokes (but in a good way! if that makes sense) She’s quite playful but not in super loud way; lots of nudges and teasing but it’s all for fun BUT she knows not everyone likes that kind of affection so if they are not into it she will not

On a deeper level, like if things are serious and it’s with a companion she’s very close to, she 100% goes into “You are my friend I love you I will do anything for you” and will hold your hand and be tender and it’s good

42. Has your character ever had a parental figure who was not related to them?

When she left home it was an older woman named Presley, a caravaneer who had stopped at Shilo’s family’s home with her group for a night’s rest who encouraged her to do so. Shilo clung to Presley’s side for a long while until she learned how to do all the caravan work by herself, and also how to sufficiently operate a gun. They had a very good student/mentor relationship and became good friends when Shilo was older, until Shilo decided to leave the caravan lifestyle and travel on her own

2. How easy is it for your character to laugh?

It depends on when you catch her, but it’s not too hard to get her to laugh. If she’s in a more serious mood it might be hard to get her out of it, but on the normal she’s a pretty good sport. She’s always been more of a person who snickers or does that little snort noise in her throat rather than to laugh out loud though. 

31. Who are they the most glad to have met?

Shilo’s go to answer is definitely Ulysses, she wouldn’t know who she was or be at peace if it weren’t for him. He changed her so much for the better. 

Her alternative answer if she thought would be that she’s glad she met the group of caravan traders when she was younger that helped her start her travels. She’s very glad she met Arcade too, (I need to explore their relationship more but) he’s 80% of her impulse control. 

32. Do they have a go-to story in conversation? Or a joke?

Shilo: “So I wake up in Doc Mitchell’s house in Goodspring, bullet hole in my head, can’t remember anything but my name and that I’ve been walkin’ for a long time. A lovely robot named Victor pulled me out of the ground and now here I am, chasing after some checker-suited idiot through the desert.”

Any person who’s spent more than a day around her: “I know…” 

(Okay not 100% canon, but I imagine that she ends up telling this story to people she meets a lot, and whichever companion she’s with is so strong for sitting there while she tells it again and again.)

20. If they were asked to explain the difference between romantic and platonic or familial love, how would they do so?

She’d struggle with the question a bit too be honest, as she struggles with having healthy relationships for a lot of her story, for several reasons but. For her, platonic is being reliable to one another and enjoying each other’s company (general friendship requirements). Romantic includes all the platonic things, but to her also includes an unexplainable connection in your gut. It’s a good feeling but complicated. Shilo has a lot of problems in her life differentiating romantic love and sexual attraction for a while. Familial love is the hardest for her, since she doesn’t have to much experience with it. After a long pause she would say, “Family is who you choose, not what you’re born with.”

43. If someone asked them to explain their sexuality, how would they do so? 

She’s like people, even though it’s hard to like people in the Mojave sometimes. 

(In today’s terms, she’s pansexual, but she’d put it as just being interested in people in general.)

3. Religious beliefs?

None really. Her childhood home had an old, half burnt Bible in it but it was mostly just there and not something her parents ever taught her about. And as a grown up she just doesn’t have the time and never really found many places/people that would give her the opportunity to become so. Several of the games religious characters though (mostly those at the Followers of the Apocalypse, Joshua Graham, and several other people from Zion) really intrigue her, and she thinks it’s amazing how people can put faith in something (their God or whatever else) and it does give them strength to do things or to be a good person. She’s happy but also a bit sad that the only thing she feels she can put her faith into is herself.

14. If you could compare your OC to an animal what would that be?

Kind of a lame answer but all I’m think is a cat? Like, a sleek silky house can that can also turn into a black panther. 

17. Describe some of their hobbies!

Decorating her bungalow with knickknacks she found around the Mojave; organizing her playing cards; hanging out with Ulysses and trying to learn things from him; she just likes to relax?? and she deserves it
