[I want to come home, it's raining here and I hate it.]
[It’s always raining on Venus.]
Blaine answers the message with a longing smile. Mute has been gone for three days now…and four hours, but who’s really counting. It feels like a week already, and by the time he gets back, Blaine will be going out himself.
[Make’s me sleepy]
[Ouros and I use to run missions there. I never liked it much.]
[The clouds never part to see let you see the sky.]
He wishes he was there with Mute. He wishes Mute was here.
A message came through, /Dear Blaine I greatly miss you pounding me into the mattress while I beg for your cock. This mission is utterly boring./
Blaine’s hub beeps. A message? He had a few moments piece between the waves of Vex, so he dips into one of the nooks of the stone wall to open it. He can’t help but sputter a bit the moment he reads it. Light, Mute really knew how to take him by surprise.
There’s a long pause before he finally answers.
[If it’s that boring, feel free to come to Mercury ;)]
“Mute!” Blaine can’t help but chuckle at the kissing and nips to his ears. They’re so close. He can feel Mute’s breath on his face, hear it.
“If you knock my hearing aids loose I’m going to smack you!”
The words are every bit as playful as Blaine feels. He wants everything but Mute to stop, and even if one of them did come out the Hunter wasn’t likely to get more than a slap on his thighs. And, he would enjoy that. They both would.
Blaine can’t help but let out little laughs and sounds for all the attention he’s getting. Then, pushing at Mute’s chest if trying to break away from him but never really meaning it.
Aedan hadn’t realized he’d fallen asleep against one of the Yang Liwei’s windows that looked out into the void. It was a small corner of the ship, quieter than the rest and the cold glass felt nice against his cheek. Gods, when had sleeping become such a rarity for him? He hadn’t even known he was asleep till he feels something soft and warm against his neck, on his chest.
“Diable veux-tu?!” He groans, blinking and rubbing his eyes. Who had the nerve to bother him down? No one came to this part of the ship anymore.
He finally gets the sleep out of his eyes to catch bright orange ones.
“Uldren?” He’s not sure if he wants to laugh or shove him away. Uldren looks tired, the corner of his lip busted. Fighting again, Aedan concludes.
“A little bird stowing away to my corner of the ship again? Your lip’s busted little raven.”
A tired sleepy Mute crawled into bed with Blaine, exhausted from his last mission. At least now he was home and with a low little huff he wiggled close until he was comfortable.
“Mmm, I was getting worried about you,” Blaine mutters, voice heavy with sleep.
He had tried to stay up longer to wait for Mute but had fallen asleep twice on the sofa. After that, he decided Mute would need another night or maybe even the next day too, to wander back home. Not that Blaine mind. Though, he did miss the hunter dearly.
“Missed you. Hearing aids are out, and it’s too dark for you to sign.” The titan yawns pulling Mute closer to let the hunter’s head rest against his chest.
Mute is very bad at getting jealous if someone is hitting on Blaine, he usually walks over and makes sure the other person knows he's there and that he won't be leaving. Also, he would probably be glaring.
Blaine would lace his Mute’s then excuse the both of them the moment he could. Of course, Blaine would be whisking him away for kisses and reassurance.
Haru’ul had spent months gathering what information he could find, about Rez and the lab he came from. It was strange for him, spending more time on land than even Blaine had before. But it was necessary, to keep both Rez and the shoal safe. Haru needed to find out what was going on, or they would all be in danger.
While Haru’ul wondered the island in search for answers it was Blaine that kept Rez. He watched over the young betta, applied his ointment of kelp and mystery ingredients. Rez’s scales had already almost grown back. Though there was some discoloration in those scales versus the rest. They both found it beautiful. Their sweet betta was just even rarer than the rest.
Blaine was trying to teach Rez to hunt, and Haru’ul was still getting used to having a new house guest. Haru would be lying if he said he didn’t enjoy having Rez around. The soft sounds and the gentle weight against his chest are things Haru’ul finds soothing. He’s growing more than fond of Rez, and that’s all the more reason he has to protect him. The shoal is Rez’s first home, real home. One without humans and he can be surrounded by his kind.
Which is why Haru is voluntarily going to allow himself to be captured by these hunters. They are going to expect a helpless Mer, not a killer, and not a prince of the Sea.
