Certainly, after all the time that haw passed without seeing her he should’ve come up with a better greeting than that. Perhaps something more emotive that showed just how much he’d missed her and all the struggles Seeker and him went through while searching. But that would mean getting read of a cold heart facade that by all means had long since fallen but due to his own stubbornness refused to admit it.

Ah- right she didn’t know about that,,, got too carried away by meeting her again he forgot all about his current appearance.

With all this commotion new arrivals didn’t interest Samael as much as they used to. By now it was almost like some sort of routine. They’d be disoriented of where they were, refuse to take in what was happening after learning of motives and murders and then whatever the fuck they decided to do next. This particular new person did caught his attention however.

“Oh you look new. Has anyone given you a proper introduction to Hell yet or no?”

At first Samael thought he wouldn’t be the odd one out in this hellish scape, but as he began to meet more of the inhabitants he slowly realized maybe that wouldn’t be the case. Whatever had happen during his absence, humanity seemed to have change drastically to the scary humans he once knew. One thing that hasn’t change however, is the sight of dead young humans who’s life ended earlier than it should’ve. A sight that brought a sour taste. God, he hated feeling pity for this creatures.

Well, at the very least the humans of this place didn’t seem to fail on making him feel unbridle anger. Time to shrink his heart another three sizes with the best solution...Human interaction!

After his time being here Samael had changed, a change he refuses to accept of course but one that still happened. Interacting with the humans had made him...more human. His hatred for them had died down enough to the point of only faulting them because that is their nature. Not all humans were bad but most were definitely stupid, that was his point of view now.

Perhaps if he were to return to his world he’d only seek to entertain himself with their suffering but certainly nothing as grand as their extinction as he previously intended.

Plus, he had grown attached to some of the humans in this place. A terrible mistake that happened once he lowered his guard but one that was too late to fix. He found himself actually caring for them even as far as trying to look out for his own roommate despite her not being human anymore. Of course you could say the attachment wasn’t anything bigger than to how someone can get attached to a pet or a favorite toy.

Regardless, one such of those humans the demon cared for just so happen to be close by so Samael decided to approach and talk with him”
