“Why do you have to be that way?”

He had been running all day. He wasn’t exhausted physically, but definitely mentally. Someone had tipped off the Company to his whereabouts, and so he had to scramble to find a new place to hide out for a while, leaving him here; sitting across from a dumpster behind a restaurant.
It was times like this that Polybius wished that he could actually get something from drinking, as he could definitely use something to take the stress of the day off of his shoulders. However, all he could really do was take the time to calm down, think about his next move, then keep moving... but man, he was starting to feel a bit worn down.
Throwing up the hood on his coat, he rests his hands inside of his coat pockets, making sure to keep a hand close to his small pocket-sized blaster. He wanted to be ready for anything.
“It’s always the Androids that get shit on the most, isn’t it?”
" Ugh, not again. " Alex rubs his right eye. Someone must've tampered with his drink last night with a sedative. " Where am I ? "
"In an alleyway off of Blaine Street. Seems you had quite the night."
The Android had come across the sleeping stranger not too long ago. He would have left them be, but he had sustained a bit of damage himself and needed to recharge.
"Hope you slept well, at least. Might be worth it to check your pockets, too."
A cigarette butt falling in his lap. Typical; he wants to enjoy some peace and quiet, manages to find a place to sit and breathe(figuratively speaking), and life keeps raining trash on top of him. Story of the Android’s life, really.
He had been on the run for as long as he could remember. While that might be an exaggeration for some, it was in the most literal sense for him. There was very little knowledge of his prior existence due to the mind wiping procedure, so for all intents and purposes, he had literally been running for as long as he can remember.
And now, the one moment that he gets some quiet, more just falls into his lap. He picks up the cigarette butt and looks up, not managing to find who had tossed it. Was it intentionally aimed at him? Was it just careless littering? Who could say? Either way, he wasn’t too pleased about it.
Crushing the small bit of waste in his hand, he then tosses it aside and rests his head on the brick wall behind him. Maybe it’d be best if he found a new place to lay low and recharge his batteries; something about getting trash thrown at him didn’t make him feel all too welcome.
Neo Arcadia had been his prison from the moment he was activated. But at this point, he was too scared to leave, too scared to let go... he just hoped there would come a day when he could stop running.

The blaster fire from downtown was nothing new; nobody knew if it was official business or some thugs, but nobody cared. It was every few days in this city that something happened where someone needed to step in. This time though, it was a rogue Android scrambling for his... well, life was an odd term for it in the eyes of his pursuers.
The Company had found him. Once again he found himself unable to remember details of this company, all he could remember is that they wanted him and knew who he was... or rather what. He managed to weave his way deep into a crowd of people, somehow managing to throw off the pursuers as he ducked into an alleyway. He was quiet, thankfully unable to breathe otherwise he’d give away his position with how heavy he’d be panting.
Polybius waited a few minutes before getting up and sliding the blaster pistol into the pocket of his torn up jeans. He started to make his way out of the alleyway, making sure to go the opposite way he came from, arriving at a much less crowded space. All this running stressed him out... gods knew he wished that smoking did anything for him right about now.
Soon enough he found himself just sitting on a bench, checking his pockets. Right now it looked as though the batteries in his holdout pistol were in need of charging, so he couldn’t use it outside of one or two more shots. Other than that, he just had his brass knuckles, and a crumpled up $5 bill he found a few hours prior. He leans back against the bench, sighing as he shoved everything back into his pockets.

“U-uh... no, I haven’t seen any rogue androids...”
This was definitely bad. He was well aware that the company had sent other Androids after him, but he didn’t think they’d resort to hiring actual bounty hunters. The more eyes on the city the better, he supposed. When this woman had come up to him asking about a rogue Android though, he was genuinely scared for the first time in a while. He did his best to stifle it despite this.
"I can't stand smokers. It's disgusting." Okay alcoholic.
“I may have a sense of taste, but I wasn’t gifted with a sense of smell... I’m afraid that I’ll have to take your word for it, miss. Of course, I have heard the act of it alone is quite unhealthy, especially for those around you.”
