“Yeah, I know. I’m still trying to break the idea that I’m alone out there.” Despite seeming pretty relaxed about the whole situation, his tone was starting to shift. He did feel bad that he put her in this position.

“...Thanks, by the way. I know I can be a bit of a handful at times, and I’m sure you were hoping to do something today other than patching up your idiot partner.”

“Hey! Ears!!“ Bakugo called out, pretty certain that even if she was listening to music she’d be able to hear him. “The others are busy and I was gonna go grab some food for the dorms, wanna come with or what?“

"Don't be so upset! You can retake it!" Bo tried to console Denki as he got his test results. She had passed but he didn't and he was discouraged. "I'll even help you study. I can't go to camp without my best friend. I refuse."

Denki groaned as he lightly tapped his head against his desk, "There's no way man... There's no way I'll pass that exam the second time even if I study...!" Oh he was definitely bummed out that he wasn't going to be able to go to the training camp with the rest of the class and most importantly with his best friend Bo.

There were quite a few new recruits this time around. Erwin's speeches inspired more and more every year. And Levy was fine with that. The Survey Corps needed new people and if they are lucky they will not lose them all in the next mission. But something haunted him. Something sickeningly familiar. Levy walked into the dining room and realized what it was. Gallagher. She sat apart from all the newcomers and looked like she was ready to beat anyone who sat at her table. He did not remember a single time when she would speak to someone or join other people outside of training.

Levi winced. He didn't like being reminded of his past self. She looked just like him when he, Farlan and Isabelle joined the Survey Corps. And it ended badly for him. If she continues to keep away from people, then the next mission, at best, will be the last only for her, at worst for other members of the squad.

Levi walked resolutely towards her and sat down at her table.

"I hope you don't mind if I sit here."

Rescue training. Boring, complicated and.... unfortunately very necessary. Kirishima wasn’t exactly opposed to these types of classes, it could occasionally be fun and always provided an interesting challenge, but mostly they just made him feel.... well, stupid.

His partner this time around was a girl he hadn’t had much opportunity to talk to yet–– he supposed that might just be part of the challenge–– and the goal was to rescue training dummies from a collapsed building in the training grounds. It seemed straightforward enough, but that never seemed to be the case with UA.

“Hey so uh....” He started as they walked together to the rescue area. “I’m sorry, can you remind me what your quirk is again? I’m not sure mine’s gonna be much help here but I can move things and smash through things if we need to.”
