“A little bit won’t kill you,” Melkor stated, shrugging his shoulders ever so slightly. “It’s mostly fun, and I know your mary jane tolerance is sky high nowadays. You need to reach out and try something new.”

The dark haired man perched himself on the arm of the couch his band mate Mairon was sitting on, picking up his bass from the stand nearby and plucking out a few simple notes. He glanced up and kept eye contact with the other man, hoping he would break and finally try something new. Melkor knew Mairon was stressed beyond measure lately, and he needed a little pick me up.

“Call it a favor and follow me.”

Melkor could barely breathe. He finally had him, and he would break him until he acquiesced to the dark Vala’s wants. He watched Gothmog lead a group of balrogs into the chamber, inside which hung an unconscious Maia, held up by one balrog on either side.

“Bring him to me. Bring him here,” he breathed, eyes fixated on the peaceful face of the one he’s coveted for so long: Mairon. One of Aulë’s. The group dragged Mairon to the large cage Melkor had built in the middle of the room, and locked him inside.

“Wake up, fiery one.”
