"ugh." Xavier sighs, trying not to appear as irritated as he truly was. It was difficult, but he thought he was managing pretty well! "i didn't come in here to harass you, you know. i just wanted to ask you a few questions about the town. i just moved here with my brothers."

After what can only be counted as an awkwardly long pause, Xavier frowns. Well, it's really less of a frown and more of a general scrunching up of his facial features. Almost as if he'd bitten into a lemon. Then he sighs, loudly.

"yeah i guess."

Xavier crosses his arms, turning his gaze away. Instead, he stares out at the snow covered streets, wondering why plows ran so slowly in this part of the country. There was snow, there was ice. Where were the plows?

He's underdressed for the cold, shoulders hunched, hands in pockets. It wasn't even supposed to snow today. And yet, there it was, in the air, on the ground. Haunting him just as she seemed to haunt him.

"I mistook you for someone for just a second. Stop reading so much into it."

"food poisoning. botulism. norovirus. giardia??" Xavier responds with a huff, crossing his arms tightly over his chest. He looks annoyed. "this place is filthy! disgusting, filthy!"

He wrinkles his nose, frowning. "can't we go somewhere else? anywhere else?"

"my friends had you figured out! they saw what's inside of you." Xavier waves a hand dismissively. "friends of course being my brother and seeing what's inside of you being he ran a background check on you. really, i don't know why, all i've told him about you is that you like to sit in my section at work."
