While Zeph was technically a co-owner of Alphabet Soup, it really was Nia's baby. His drinks were free, but that was about the only perc he took for himself. Nia was testing out some new drinks--she liked to have specialty drinks and change them out with the seasons--and Zephyr was an eager guinea pig. He'd felt the hesitant attraction direct toward him, but was ignoring it, until the woman it was coming from got his attention. She was pretty, sweet-looking, and he found the little nervous laugh adorable. Zephyr smiled and waved away her apology. "Don't worry about it. When women do it, it's flattering. It's only creepy when you're the man," he told her with a good-natured chuckle. "I'm gonna take a wild guess and say this is your first time coming here."
Despite his assurances that it was fine, Ellie still couldn't help but blush, embarrassed. One night out and it's like she's forgotten how to be a person around other people. "It's not too wild of a guess..." She allowed, though she knew he was teasing. "I don't come out often." She said again, lifting a shoulder. How were people so good at this kind of thing?
"I usually work nights, and this is the first I've had off in a while. My friend suggested coming here but he's...I think he got called in to work." She checked her phone again, and once again, no dice. Jack was reliable, though...he'd text as soon as he could. "Suppose I'll head out after this..."
