Summary: Or "The Amazing Digital Circus: Delete/Corruption" This started off as a personal vent, and some exploration of the the TADC crew after e8… But Caine did not directly delete. He's in the recycling bin. With Pomni? Huh, how curious. I am also, for some reason, absolutely smitten with the idea of Showtime, so there's that. 😈

5-28-26: (okay, so no one was going to tell me that I was time traveling to August?) ANYwho, finally decided on the name. You, uh, you you say the name of the .hack stuff. And I don't even think I explained why, even. Well, simply put, Caine got deleted, in-canon… but here he didn't. He got almost deleted. Files that are partially deleted… they're just corrupt, are they not? So, yeah. I also kinda wanted to emphasize how that changes not only him, but everyone else. Because no character is coming out unscathed. Like… NO one. Everything changes. Everything corrupts. :P

isami suger double date what utter chaos are we getting into??

dodger omg ily this is a great question.. and it's a loooot of chaos..

isami & suger double date:

- we're at a restaurant all 4 of us wanted to try out, reviews said that said the waiting time before the food arrives is long tho..

- i fear mattsun and I brought a board game or a card game to play while we wait for our food, but because we're all lowkey (insanely) competitive it turns messy quite quickly and pieces fly everywhere

- we're so loud, everyone keeps looking at us in an annoyed and lowkey concerned manner

- the waiter comes over a lot of times and asks us to be more quiet, but we last maybe 3 minutes before you or mattsun start yelling again

- my drink accidentally gets kicked off the table when you attempt to choke mattsun since he keeps kicking you out/pissing you off

- ..we lowkey get kicked out before our food even arrives

- hungry we decide to hit up a convenience store nearby, but we race with shopping carts down the aisles, grabbing snacks and dropping some on the floor

- the store is a mess

- I steer the shopping cart into a shelf

- the manager is not pleased with us

- we then head for a picnic at the park

- it's dark and I'm carrying some bags of chips

- I trip

- the bags of chips burst open

- we sit and eat and talk shit, somehow we end up prankcalling random people

- it's getting cold so we head to apartment #isami because we have a wii and all sorts of games (and alcohol)

- suga and you immediately head for the wii to set it up and there is a chaotic scramble to grab controllers, and somehow you end up with the one that doesn’t work

- we play mario kart and it's a mess (we found a working controller for you)

- dodger i never played games with you before but you give off vibes of someone who is the king of trash talk, so you're just throwing jabs at everyone who dares to take you over or hit you with a shell

- suga retaliates with exaggerated disbelief whenever someone overtakes him or hits him with an item (shells, the thunder cloud, etc)

- meanwhile, mattsun throws in the occasional smug comment when he's in the lead, and I just enjoy the chaos, chiming in with quips that leave everyone laughing (because i can be really funny guys💔)

- to spice things up, suga suggests silly challenges like playing with the controller upside down or blindfolding one person while their partner gives directions

- mattsun loves the idea but groans when we do the blindfold challenge, making #suger laugh with his frustrated attempts to bring #isami to victory

- #isami lost and you and suga make us wear some weird but funny makeshift costumes, complete with a fake mustache, for the rest of the night

- we all take a break to create custom miis that resemble each other

- suga and your miis turn out to be wild caricatures, while mattsun's version of me is surprisingly flattering, earning him a cheeky smile and a teasing "favorite boyfriend" award from me.

- his mii is a diabolical caricature though, like it's lowkey worse than what #suger created

- as the night winds down and the competitive edge fades, it's replaced with lazy conversation and laughter

- you suggest watching some horror movies to cap off the night and everybody agrees (i didn't, but mattsun agreed in my name, i fear, since he enjoys seeing me scared)

- whenever I need to go to the bathroom someone has come along with me 💔
