A sentient planet is nothing more than a rock with a mind. Yes, it may have behavior and thoughts, but are those enough to rival a god, one who can create worlds of His own on a whim? It may have a collection of beings, but a hive mind is nothing special. It is an ant hill with its hive mind as its ants, and I am a parasitoid wasp.
Numbers are not everything. Size is not all that matters. Waves of infection have no effect on me either, for I am not yet whole. Even if I were, is there even an inkling of a certainty that I would be so weak to it that I would surrender control and join the mindless swathes of grime it controls? No, of course there is not.
