Hello! this is a Sleep Token roleplay blog run by @royals-writings in promotion of my fic--Your Name Is A Sin.(link goes to ao3)
Characters appear here to talk to in correspondence of the chapter of the fic they appear in. You're welcome to ask them things ahead of time, but don't expect the correct person to respond or expect anyone to know what you're talking about if you bring up something before it happens(like TMBTE in the One era). I've listed some notices/guidelines below, and that's all you truly need to read before interacting. but if you'd like to know more about my intentions and the thought behind this blog, keep scrolling!
Everything is in character. Everything received in the ask box will be answered in character, no matter what. direct any important questions or anything that you'd like a detailed answer on to my main blog, linked at the top.
Specify who you're asking a question to! you could add character names/nicknames or color code your text. Otherwise, I'm gonna pick a vessel at random.
NSFW content and anything regarding the men behind the masks is strictly prohibited. Automatic block.
Every character acts and behaves differently. Each characterization is my own. I intend no harm or offense with them, though I have written them to have opinions. Please be mindful, treat each character as a different character. Treat each character like someone real you're having a conversation with, and be respectful towards what they say(unless it does harm or offend--DM my main blog and I'll right it!)
Just be generally mindful, kind, and respectful. That's it, really. I'll let pretty much everything go through.
Every post is in character unless otherwise specified. Each character has their own color for their speech. You'll be able to tell who's who pretty quickly, don't worry. I speak in white/black(depending on your Tumblr theme) text and Vessel in green, for example.
The intent of this blog is to promote my fic, yes, but also to answer questions and interact with fans. I do have a couple of world building tags on my other blog, but those are more directed towards my other fic, Saying Your Name, which is on hiatus and is based on different scenario. I may recycle my own ideas from there, so they might appear here, as well.
The secondary intention of this blog is to act similarly to a chat bot. I know that in this era, talking to a character is super comforting and sounds wonderful and fun and is available to do via sites like character.ai, and I'm here to provide a way to get that without the negative impacts and effects of a real chat bot. I do this because I understand the struggles surrounding chat bot usage and the desire to continue using it for the comfort and to "chat with" characters. A piece of advice I got a lot was "interact with roleplay spaces" and I couldn't find any Sleep Token ones, so here I am. you can converse with the vessels, ask questions, ask for comfort, and it'll be offered to you by the available vessels. I don't use any real ai though, everything is human run.
Feel free to come ask questions on my other blog! You'll be able to get answers out of the Tokens here, but they won't be as in depth as I may be able to give you personally(this blog is for questions like "what do you think of ---?" for example, while you can come right to me and ask more about things about the how and detailed whys and whos.
NOTICE: every character I use here is the character, and I'm not an official ST account. Nothing I write or say is on behalf of Sleep Token, nothing I write or say is made to be coming from the men behind the masks. I respect the Tokens' privacy. I never use names, physical descriptors of their human selves, ages, background/life history, or anything else relating to the men behind the masks. The characterizations I use are based on the characterizations presented on stage, on social media, and in official media offered to us.
