if possible you should check out the grasmere gingerbread shop + Wordsworth's grave!! and not sure how far a trip it would be but the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway is a lovely day out :+)

the gingerbread shop looks so cosy omg…… if we’re going to ambleside there’s literally no reason not to go a bit further to grasmere tbf. i was struggling for things to do/visit there apart from the trails and circulars but that’s weather dependent for us personally

it looks like Ravenglass is about an hour’s drive from where we’re staying as well which is absolutely doable!! i havent looked that far west of the lakes at all yet so im def adding it to the list of options. tysm for the suggestions :]
