Brightephemera's latest project
In the last two and half months I've stopped writing fanfic. Recently I started serializing an original work, Sarah Lilly's Letters.
It's science fiction about a colony on an alien world that has been cut off from Earth following a mysterious disaster. After sixteen years of isolated subsistence farming the three main characters turn eighteen and find that their little world is more complicated than they'd thought. There's mystery, conflict, romance, psychic hand-waving, and wish fulfillment re: the social esteem of intellectual pursuits.
SLL is ongoing (with no discernible direction or end) at @serialephemera. It's organized into weekly three-chapter volumes (MWF), generally ~700 words per chapter, with a wildcard Saturday.
While you're there, I'm working on one-off prompt fills for Tuesday and Thursday. I don't always make it, but that's what I've been up to.
