Subetei is actually a very self-sustaining individual and for a long time in his life he was most comfortable by himself, working. It’s why he enjoyed hunting so much and even why he enjoys travel, he used to find the most comfortable moments were those after a hard day’s work, sitting in the cooling sun and letting the wind pass by him. Simple pleasures in a life somewhat devoid of them.

That said, his comfortable moments now in his life tend to include his mate in some fashion, Neyuki. Not quite in a romantic, ‘I love her she is my world’ way, but because she is a calming influence for him and has helped him learn to be more patient with others, so when he is with her he tends to be at his most comfortable. It doesn’t detract from his other comforts, he stills travels and hunts extensively, but it’s no longer to get away and decompress.

🐙 - They are crossing the ocean. What are the circumstances and how did they get there?

So, this question accidentally tripped a -lot- of internal debate over how to respond, because crossing the ocean is actually very big to Subetei. I was stuck for a few days on how to answer, so thank you for the patience!

Subetei crossed the ocean at his twelfth year; He was born and raised in Othard until his twelfth year, exiled from the Noykin and essentially tossed off to Eorzea aboard a Limsan cutter that agreed to take him. He does not talk about it much and very few people still around in his life know that fact (for reference, he’s 29 now), even his mate Neyuki doesn’t have the full story.
