"So now that the hold is in need of repairs, are you fully rejoining us or just sticking yourself at the gun or orlop deck? Just so you know, I go through both a lot, so…."
Guy sighs. "It's fine. I'm more or less over what happened last winter. I just can't look at Phoebus and Ruixiong the same as I used to right now."
"Or me?"
"I already promised I'd keep your secret, Gio. Just because I know the truth over what you did in Guangzhou doesn't mean I want it to spread around the boat. All I do ask of you, though, is this:
"You'll let me know when you do your regular reports with the Master before you actually talk to him, right? Just… so I can have an idea if he's around?"
"I am... more than willing, Guy. Just know that he very easily picks up on things without me having to tell him. You being in on trying to go against him could put you in further danger. You may turn to salt for good--and it'll be forever goodbye."
"I'll take my chances. I sold my soul for my brother. I never regretted doing the deed, not then, not now, not ever. I will do it a thousand times again for him if I have to. And you and Rui are my sworn brothers. This willingness extends to you. For the rest of the Crew."
"……I wish I grew up with you as my real brother instead of the ones who threw me in the cellar for ten years."
"And I wish I had a brother who isn't ashamed of me no matter what I do. But swearing brotherhood is close enough, isn't it? We'll take what we can get, devil's curse and all.
"So what's for dinner? I think I'll be eating next to the galley ahead of time so I don't have to sit with everyone."
As Guy and Giovanni walk off to the galley to discuss what to prepare for tonight's dinner….

Ebano curls up from a nearby hammock as he overheard the two men's conversation.
'Giovanni isn't wrong when he says I can pick up on things without him having to tell me anything…'
'I apologize on behalf of my Crew for their absence. They've been deep into 'Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom' and haven't gotten back since.
'...No, really. They literally fell in a chasm without Brightbloom seeds and are likely being killed again and again in the dark. It'll take a while before they find themselves out.'
The crow just. Stares. Why is there a cat in her nest?
Because reasons. Cats don't need reasons to be anywhere, they go where they want as they so damned pleased. And coming up here is a great view.
Ebano curls up along the railing and blinks at the crow, acknowledging her existence…. and saying nothing. Nary a trill. He doesn't even stalk her as cats oft do when around birds.
Though his eyes lock onto hers with curiosity… and knowing. Knowing what? Who knows…..
"Ohh, pretty kitty! Come here, pusspuss! Come here!" She's currently crouched down with a small bowl of milk, pspsps-ing at the Sphinx cat.
Ewww. Milk. Though he has yet to try it himself, the Master can feel the tunes of this new body--it cannot handle milk as a kitten would. So the cat snubs the treat with a lift of his nose and a twitch of his tail....
But he won't deny nuzzles. After all... she doesn't know he is in this form. So he rubs his head against her leg. An action of transferring his scent onto her.
You may be a powerful, demonic cat, Master, but can you defeat JINX, MAYOR OF HELL, Michigan?!

'I'm pretty sure all I'll have to do is lace her ranch dressing with catnip and I'll be good. I have no interest in the office, however. The state of Michigan is a kind of Hell even I have know better than to fiddle with.'
