Tulniers!

one of the only surviving non-sapient species from the (now destroyed) Rauslier homeplanet. unorganized ramblings below.

Tulniers were specifically preserved due to their low maintenance needs, small size, and high output of offspring, which served the Rausliers well in their quest of spacebound survival. they were a vital source of protein and fat during the century where Rausliers had not made contact with any other planets - and even after that, before Rausliers were fully able to consume anything from any other planet.

nowadays there are a few industrial Tulnier farms on Earth, though in large mixed-sophont neighborhoods it's common for there to be a small, local Tulnier farmer providing their meat and eggs to Rauslier neighbors.

they can be kept with typical earth livestock as well, so it isn't unheard of for a human hobbyist to keep them in their flock of chickens or herd of rabbits. they have been known to start problems with peafowl and goats, though.

they do take some additional care when it comes to their offspring - the high yield is an evolutionary trait from their being prey animals, so some are expected to die off in larger clutches. this is the biggest issue with industrial farms, as their care standards typically do not allow for every single fertilized egg to hatch. they don't eat their own eggs, so it's a waste of good embryo :(

humans can eat these! though it's not really recommended. won't kill you most of the time, would just taste real freakin nasty to people. also, forgot to write in the picture, but their crests are also covered in chromatophores. their color expression is more limited than a Rauslier, though - they rely more on patterns when it comes to display :)

Some warmup doodles. Doppler and an NPC/Aurora Mayflower from Battle at Procyon.

A recent design as well! An unnamed avian/manticore admiral. Thinking of making a Kingdom that would be parallel to the US, it would home this species (which I currently call “Kites”),,, I really like his design so hopefully I can do something with this OC lol

The second character is my Procyon Grand Admiral Chimera. He’s the main villain for my story,,, I’ll be elaborating on him in his own individual post :)

Nobody knows where he came from, or where he goes when he disappears.

Builderman claims that he’s “a close friend.”

Don’t bother asking him any personal questions, you’ll never get an answer that isn’t brief or cryptic.

His charm and wit can easily put anyone at ease. Even the admins, who are usually cold and brutal, seem to be…oddly lenient with this civilian. Passive, even.

Shedletsky steals the spotlight whenever he’s around. It’s never a dull moment with him.

You’ll never feel bored around him.

You’ll never feel alone around him, because there will always be a watchful eye on you.

This guy is not exactly welcomed much where due to knowledge of him being able to hack almost everything in Starr Park, plus take over it with the virus he made himself that also really affected his appearance somehow. ( He doesn't know how or why, but he doesn't mind these upgrades a single bit. )

Why is he doing so though?..

He's trying to find info about his creator. He doesn't remember nor know who it was. Figuring out that he was made by only one person was easy, his blueprint was really similar in few ways to the twins blueprint, just.. Upgraded version of those blueprints.

Speaking of the twins!..

Larry and Lawrie don't like this guy at all (not like pure hatred ofc, besides Larry believes that V1ru is not really a bad guy.. Just maybe a bit uh... Overstimulating sometimes maybe...///he's not wrong///) because of them always playing run & gun where V1ru just ends up escaping without punishment and just enjoyment of being a pain in the ass for these two ( tho he secretly has a soft spot for them and doesn't go fully on all 100%. And there would be something: " Only I get to be these idiots pain in the ass, not whatever you are!" And proceeds to get rid of the competition and then run away just like that ), he's done lots of problems for them for sure...........Kinda like Joker and Batman maybe, idk what other understandable example i could give.....Just uh, Villain being playful with the hero type dynamic???...Yea

Oh also now to silly info is that he certainly loves gaming and yes, he's indeed inspired by Peridot from Steven Universe and...Epic Wubbox from Ethereal island-

Ofc he does all this silly shit just to be less stressed out, distracting the twins so they won't be on his way later when he's on search for info...

So far he does knows more but it's not what he needs.
