Aliens are Space People challenge #5:

Garrulians are known for their dull senses and their unique way of socializing and conflict resolution (headbashing).

Humans see them as terrifyingly competitive, slow-witted brutes.

This garrulian has gotten into a prestigious university via sports recruitment. They won't let the opportunity go to waste, though. The finals are coming and they're studying hard to become a criminologist, even if they're not the sharpest tool in the shed.

After all, aliens are just people.

Sketches of garrulians socializing and their mannerisms!

1st. "-AND I'M TELLING YOU THE MOVIE IS BETTER THAN THE BOOK!". A friendly bar debate between acquaintances.

Every little argument, debate or discussion involving a garrulian can and will end up with headbashing (it's only considered violent if they claw at each other).

2nd. Two workout buddies; a garrulian trainer and a chronically ill human.

Headbutting a member of a "weaker" species, like humans, is an immense sign of respect. It means they consider that person their equal, for better or worse (they have to learn how much force the other's skull can take).

3rd. The Flesh Tenderizer, a space colosseum gladiator with a "barbarian" theme. They like acting and this' been their big break.

Garrulians are quadrupeds, using their little chest arms to manipulate objects. They can use their front legs clumsily as hands. Standing up and showing their claws is their way of intimidating a foe. Or more likely, to gain height for better headsmashing.

For a while I had this silly but fun idea of creating silhouettes with paint splashes which I then visualize into alien creatures by using my central processing organ also called a brain, and some gravity magic. This was my first attempt today. Thinking about making this a weekly challenge.

this also really helps me in giving the ecosystems of our (many) alien homeworlds some life without endlessly pondering on their looks. I also decided to turn the thoughts looming in my mind down into a sort of log entry commander Eight would draw/write into a digital sketchbook.

Caou wolfmen regularly use livestock animals called jaou’an to trawl fish in shallow water. The leader of the group has a staff with a large hollow shell filled with beads to make sound and small reflective shells to guide their workers.

Y'kul, with their rough coats and gentle temperaments, often find themselves the targets of adolescent Haep'il looking to relieve their itches. It's a good alternative to rubbing up on plantlife with more abrasive exteriors, but the behavior can be annoying to some shepherds trying to ready their herd for migration.

new y'kul anatomy. felt like the original was too detached from hae anatomically, and on that note i'm slowly adjusting other hae fauna to fit better in their world. these guys are way bigger now.

fairy encounter

quick thing to test out some old brushes i downloaded a while ago,,, though i also just wanted to draw a bug.

"fairies" on the elf planet are mothlike invertebrates. this one is believed to bring good health.

it’s funny how we’re getting to the point in the AI lifespan where you can feel the desperation from tech companies to have you use their AI features. instagram has moved their AI effects to the top of the menu when you’re creating a post for your story, exactly where the draw/edit button used to be. gmail is creating one-click AI-generated replies right before you open up the text box. spotify put a beta AI playlist generator on the front page that looks just like a search bar so all of their users accidentally click on it when they go to search for a song.

tech companies are shaking in their boots trying to prove to shareholders that their investment in AI is worth it, to the point where they’re tricking their users into using the AI features even for a split second in order to fudge the numbers. like awww is your little environment-destroying toy not wielding the results you hoped for? so sad!

its been.... so long.... very busy with the end of the semester and work, so FINALLY heres soemtjing really cool i thought would be worth posting :3

this is a "piñata" project final for one of my classes! we were supposed to make something to represent or celebrate something meaningful to us, so i chose the furry fandom.

uhmmmm tried to represent what has been most special to me and also a Mascot for the community itself: a colorful canine sona covered in stickers meant to be a sort of Everyone character holding a paintbrush and cd case in its mouth. a very brief visual representation of the contributions to the arts the furry community has made....THOUGH it kinda looks like its smorking, so if you want to see it that way, awesome. my weed smoking girlfriends ect ect. In the back is one of MY sonas chilling out n lovin life.

this community has been so awesome and made space for so many people and i wanted to make an homage to what has been a majority of my life and my art inspiration. 🤙🤙🤙🤙
